An inevitable match for that card is CM Punk vs. Roman Riegns vs. Seth Rollins.

Ever since his return to WWE in November 2023, a lot of people have had beef with CM Punk. The person who hates him the most is Seth “Freakin” Rollins. They have had promos, matches, and run-ins several times.

What Rollins did at Elimination Chamber took their feud to a whole new level. Punk and John Cena were both down, with Cena trying to grab Punk’s leg. Punk kicked him off but got caught in the ropes.

That’s when Rollins, who was already eliminated, gave him a stomp. The move allowed Cena to submit Punk, ending his WrestleMania main event dreams.

Rollins vs. Punk would be an obvious move for WrestleMania, but some people might forget about Roman Reigns, who still has issues with both of them. The obvious move isn’t always the right one, but making this match a triple threat makes a lot of sense.

Roman Reigns Won’t Let Rollins’ Betrayal Go

There is a ton of history between Reigns and Rollins. They debuted together as The Shield with Dean Ambrose, winning matches and multiple championships, until Rollins broke them up by attacking them with a steel chair. Ten years later, at WrestleMania XL, it was evident that the betrayal was still fresh in Reigns’ mind.

Faced with attacking either Rollins or Cody Rhodes, he slammed a chair into Rollins’ back. That led to Rhodes pinning Reigns, ending his 1316-day reign as WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Champion. When they met at the Royal Rumble this year, things were still unresolved.

When the two of them were eliminated by Punk, who was out himself seconds later, Rollins was furious. In addition to attacking those two, he also directed his rage towards Paul Heyman. Those two both have valid arguments for a confrontation in the next few weeks.

Reigns and Punk Do Not Like Each Other

The build-up to Survivor Series: WarGames last year largely focused on one specific thing. Roman Reigns and CM Punk don’t like each other, but they both have a connection to Paul Heyman.

Reigns knows what it’s like to be betrayed, so he kept Punk at arm’s length. Heyman owed Punk a favor for getting him in the match, but we still don’t know what it is yet. Whatever it is will have major implications for both Reigns and Punk.

Like Rollins, Reigns had a confrontation with Punk at the Rumble after their joint eliminations. Reigns was disgusted with Punk’s actions, as they had just worked together two months prior.

He was mad that he got betrayed by someone he willingly let work with the Bloodline. Reigns hasn’t been seen since, so Punk has to be on the lookout for an angry Tribal Chief.

All Three Men Will Heat Up the Road to WrestleMania 41

It’s clear that the weeks ahead will be rough for Punk and Rollins. Given how much hatred there is between them, Adam Pearce and security will have their hands full. Adding an angry Reigns to the situation will make the feud hotter than it already is.

Doing that isn’t just for the sake of getting him a WrestleMania match. All three men have legitimate grievances with one another, with some things bubbling up for years. All of their rage will be unleashed whenever the three of them meet again, so things might get out of hand in record time.

With the Paul Heyman favor still hanging up in the air, that might be a huge point of contention as well. A triple threat match at WrestleMania 41 between CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth “Freakin” Rollins is what they need to cap off years of animosity between them.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE WrestleMania 41, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
