TKO is taking over…Kansas City as for the first-time ever, the UFC, WWE, and Professional Bull Riding will all take place in the same city during the same weekend. It’s all part of the inaugural TKO Takeover, which was announced in a press release this week<\/a>. Collectively, Kansas City has hosted over 60 events from these three companies in the last 20 years, with each group having a memorable history and countless moments in the city including WWE’s Money in the Bank<\/a> in 2010.<\/p>\n

The TKO Takeover starts with the PBR on Thursday, followed by UFC Fight Night on Saturday and Monday Night Raw on well, Monday. All of the events will take place from the T-Mobile Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cKansas City has collectively hosted dozens of UFC, WWE, and PBR events over the years, and it has become a top destination for each of these respective promotions,\u201d said Peter Dropick, Executive Vice President, Event Development and Operations for TKO in the company’s press release. \u201cThis is a unique opportunity to showcase these three premier properties in one city at the same time for the benefit of fans and visitors to the area.\u00a0 We thank the Kansas City Sports Commission and the management at T-Mobile Center for making this possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cKansas City has a great history of hosting world-class events, and we are thrilled to continue that tradition by partnering with three of the biggest brands in the sports and entertainment world,\u201d added Kathy Nelson, President and CEO of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Visit KC. \u201cThese events will generate significant economic impact for our hotels and local businesses, as well as shine a spotlight on Kansas City through broadcast programming and social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans will be able to purchase tickets to the TKO Takeover as part of a ticketing package that goes on sale on Monday.<\/p>\n
