Collision right now the momentum being carried by AEW\u2019s Saturday show is adding a fresh layer of impetus as AEW looks to find itself a new feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll stop there as my imaginary voice hurts. In all seriousness, Collision is developing into an accelerator rather than just an addition to AEW programming. This week\u2019s show spoils us with another AEW trios championship defense.<\/p>\n
The return of a fan-favorite luchador. Max Caster is likely going to get his ass beaten. Queen Aminata will look to see if she can begin her breakout year<\/a> against The Hounds of Hell\u2019s Julia Hart.<\/p>\n Plus, arguably the next NJPW\u2019s world champion comes to AEW. When it hits eight o\u2019clock, I want to rock.<\/p>\n Segments Announced:<\/strong><\/p>\n Speculation: <\/strong><\/p>\n Returning to action for the first time since WrestleDream, Hologram takes on The Beast Mortos. Their last encounter was a luchador-inspired 2-out-of-3 falls match. Facing each other in three other matches (singles, tag, and three-way), there\u2019s plenty at stake for both men beyond a winner\u2019s purse.<\/p>\n Tensions between Beast Mortos and his returning La Facci\u00f3n Ingobernable stablemates of Dralistico and Rush is clear. Mortos finished the Continental Classic with a poor record.<\/p>\n Rush may be considering if Mortos, despite his size and ability, is a weak link. Momentum is vital in wrestling and can mean the difference for the part man, part bull, part lawyer\u2019s future.<\/p>\n Competing mainly on Collision, Hologram\u2019s excellent performance may have flown under the radar for some in 2024. However, in his handful of performances before injury, Hologram earned his flowers<\/a>. Against a foil like Mortos is where the young former Aramis will soar.<\/p>\n Comparisons between Rey Mysterio and Psychosis would be lazy. Yet, this pair may carve out their own historic feud.<\/p>\n NJPW\u2019s Openweight Champion, a man known for his swear-laden tweets and making President Hiromu Tanahashi cry, returns to AEW. The Nottingham native was wasted during his last visit to the Land of the Elite. Gabe Kidd had the briefest cup of coffee in AEW last year competing on Rampage with Roderick Strong prior to Forbidden Door.<\/p>\n In 2024, Kidd was on the rise. 2025 started with an emotive and career-making defeat to Kenny Omega. So why Collision and why now?<\/p>\n There is still unfinished business with Omega? With Forbidden Door in London, but without a venue announced, might we get the first announcements? A rematch?<\/p>\n Or will Kidd\u2019s appearance interconnect with The Don Callis Family and their wider feud with Omega and Will Ospreay? Is anyone else already in their heads thinking about Anarchy in the Arena this year?<\/p>\n If this is for a match or a promo, expect Kidd to bring a violent and chaotic charisma.
