Less than a week since the Royal Rumble, and there are already three names confirmed for the men’s 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber match.

The first qualifier saw CM Punk meet the determined Sami Zayn for the first time in their careers. Chess-like in its execution, Punk was finally able to hit Zayn with the GTS, booking his spot in the 2025 Elimination Chamber and keeping his WrestleMania dream alive.

The next qualifier saw LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, and Jimmy Uso compete in a thrilling triple threat on SmackDown. The Megastar seemed destined for the Chamber, eyeing a BFT on a weary Jimmy Uso.

Enter McIntyre with an improvised Claymore on Knight, allowing the Scottish Warrior to steal the win. McIntyre now has the rare opportunity to win consecutive elimination chambers – a feat last achieved by Triple H in 2008/2009.

Three Spots Remain: Who Else is in Line for the 2025 WWE Elimination Chamber?

Punk and McIntyre join John Cena, who confirmed his Chamber attendance during the Royal Rumble post-show press conference. With three more qualifying matches confirmed, the missing pieces to the puzzle are becoming clearer.

Logan Paul is set to square off against Rey Mysterio whilst Seth Rollins reunites with an old rival in Finn Balor on Raw. The final qualifying match will see Damian Priest caught in Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu’s monstrous crossfire.

Logan Paul Can Silence Critics in the Elimination Chamber

Paul’s return to the WWE as the final entrant in the Royal Rumble had its highs and lows. Logan managed to eliminate Punk but will be disappointed that he didn’t make more of his #30 entry. Rey Mysterio, who entered at #1, will be looking to avenge his Crown Jewel 2023 loss which saw him drop the US Championship to Paul.

Mysterio, who turned 50 last December, can still kick it with the best of them. However, Paul’s power and versatility should be too much for the Hall of Famer.

Further Woe for Finn Balor and The Judgment Day

Another qualifying match confirmed but not officially announced is Rollins vs Balor. Balor claimed the inaugural Universal Championship in 2016, defeating Rollins in the process. But recently, Balor has endured a torrid time.

The double whammy of losing both the Tag Team Championships to the War Raiders and his feud with former stablemate Damian Priest will have put Balor in low spirits. While Rollins remains popular, he has also struggled for momentum since losing the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

The Judgment Day’s internal tensions point towards continued troubles for Balor. Rollins, however, seems destined to collide with the Second City Saint once more. A Chamber appearance is essential if Rollins is to stop Punk from realizing his WrestleMania dream.

Damian Priest: Conqueror of Monster?

That leaves the titanic triple threat set for this week’s Smackdown. Damian Priest has two mountains to conquer if he is to compete in his first Chamber match since 2023.

Priest poses an unwelcome distraction as Strowman and Fatu look to renew their rivalry. However, if Priest can show the same tactical awareness he showed with his Money in the Bank cash-in at WrestleMania, he may be able to pick up the pieces when Strowman and Fatu inevitably clash. For this reason, Priest looks best placed to pick up the win and head to the Chamber.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
