Another thing that caught people’s eye was the infographics displayed throughout the rumbles. The first graphic came when a competitor came out.

It displayed their country, height and weight (for the men), and amount of rumbles they’ve been in. The two others were seen during the match. One tracked who was still in the match, including what number they entered.

The other tracked how many people were currently in the ring and what number was next to enter. They were very prominent on screen, with the latter two displayed throughout the whole match. But why did WWE make this decision now? There are many reasons why those infographics were made and why they aren’t going away anytime soon.

The Infographics Made the Matches Less Confusing

Everyone knows that the Royal Rumble is a chaotic match. At any given point, there could be double-digit men and women in the ring battling each other.

With all of that going on, it might be easy to forget who is still in and who is out. By showing infographics like who got eliminated and which wrestlers got tossed out by a specific wrestler, people won’t have to work as hard to decode the action that is already happening. There’s no more speculation or intense viewing of things like that.

The infographics help viewers understand what’s going on. They also make it easier for the writers who recap the show for fans or a website. The guesswork is gone, as WWE makes it clear what happens at a certain point. The new infographics definitely make following the Royal Rumble way easier than before.

They Helped Introduce Wrestlers and Create Nostalgia

Usually, when you watch someone come out to the ring, the only things displayed are their name and number. When you watch someone enter this year, you get a lot more information.

Their country, current championship, height and weight (for men), and amount of rumbles they’ve been in. The commentators also add to that by talking about records and past performances. Those decisions equally benefit new viewers as well as seasoned veterans.

The veterans get that nostalgia rush from remembering past rumble moments, and New viewers get a ton of information about the wrestlers entering the ring. The infographic displays much more than a ring announcer could ever say at one point in time.

As the rumble is a fast-paced match, it allows for a rapid conveyance of information to the viewers at home. The new infographics while wrestlers enter help both new and old fans in very beneficial ways.

WWE’s Production Decision Was a Good One

With professional sports, an infographic on the bottom of the screen is common. It keeps track of who’s in the lead, who has the most points, and other things. The Royal Rumble never had that until this year.

That being said, their decision to make it available now was a great decision. People no longer have to watch closely to see who is still in the ring or who eliminated who. The infographics displayed throughout the matches make it easy to access those stats.

With a prominent place on the screen, they’re not invisible, but they don’t take up too much of it either. Also, the infographic displaying a wrestler’s country and accomplishments helps give out more information to casual and veteran fans. The infographics displayed during the 2025 Royal Rumble were a big hit, allowing for an easier viewing experience for everyone.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on WWE NXT and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
