It’s a night filled with nostalgia that honors yesteryear. However, it’s also the platform for WWE’s best to build their legacy and become legends. If you missed this 2-hour extravaganza, we’ve got you covered. Here are the quick hits of the full WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) results for January 25th, 2025.

Without further ado, let’s run it down.

Full WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) Results – 1/25/25:

Opening the event was a showdown of the WWE Women’s Division’s best. Rhea Ripley defended the Women’s World Title against Nia Jax. During the introduction, Jax would cheap-shot Ripley with a headbutt. Nia came close to dethroning Rhea. But The Eradicator proved too much, and with a Riptide, she got the pinfall victory to retain.

Next up is the Intercontinental Championship match between champion Bron Breakker and Sheamus. As most expected, this was one physical bout, with each competitor taking each other to the limit. Much like Jax in the opener, Sheamus was on the verge, multiple times, of capturing the only title that eluded him in his career. This banger ended when Breakker gathered his wits and nailed Sheamus with a vicious Spear to conclude the bout.

The Royal Rumble contract signing between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, mediated by San Antonio’s own legendary Shawn Michaels, was tension-filled. Owens tried to get into Cody’s ahead again, but the American Nightmare did not have it. He demanded K.O. to sign the contract. However, before all that, Kevin Owens issued a warning that at the Rumble, he would take everything Rhodes had that he wanted and felt like he deserved after all he’d done over the past decade. HBK once again encouraged both men to sign the contract and also pointed out that Kevin sounded jealous. Owens took exception to that and stated that Cody would probably “lose his smile” and “take his ball and go home,” a clear shot at Mr. WrestleMania. HBK did not have it and mediated the signing as expected. Once every signature was given, the belts hung, and Michaels tried to shake each man’s hand. Owens refused, Cody showed respect, but in classic Kevin Owens fashion, he sucker punched Rhodes. With Cody rocked, Kevin tried to hit Shawn with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. But HBK still had it in him and delivered his patented Sweet Chin Music.

It’s now time for Braun Strowman and Jacob Fatu. This was an absolute car wreck. Strowman seemed like he was in control, but a Samoan Drop on the announce table was a tide-turner. After that one significant move, Jacob Fatu would go haywire. Fatu would brutalize Braun. Hip Attack after Hip Attack, Jacob would not stop until Strowman was bleeding from his mouth. The refereed tried to stop him, but he tossed him out of the ring, leading to the DQ win for the “Monster of All Monsters.” Fatu would not stop the assault on Braun, essentially trying to end his career. To cap it all off, Fatu would hit the Double-Jump Moonsault, as security and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis would try to restrain him.

For the main event of the evening, Jey Uso looks to secure his first world title as he challenges for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship held by Gunther. Jey and Gunther went to absolute war on this one. Gunther gave all his best shots tonight, as did Jey Uso. The latter hit a Superkick, Spear, and Uso Splash in succession. Jey Would go for the pin, but Gunther stayed alive. After another attempt at a Spear, Gunther would catch the former Intercontinental Champion and turned it into two devastating Powerbombs to retain the World Heavyweight Championship and end the night.

That’s all for the SNME results for January 25th, 2025.
