It will be an exciting night of wrestling that will produce some great wrestling and some intriguing segments.

Naturally, with the Royal Rumble a week away, the show will revolve around the build-up to the first PLE of 2025. The men and women of WWE will be looking to gain any advantage they can to put themselves in the best position before the Royal Rumble.

There are only 4 matches on the card but all of them have long-reaching implications. But nothing can be said until those matches are concluded. So, who will walk away the victor at Saturday Night’s Main Event?

Let’s look into the crystal ball.

Gunther vs. Jey Uso (World Heavyweight Championship Match)

The clash of styles will make this a fantastic match. Gunther’s ground-and-pound style will match up well against the high-flying antics of Jey Uso. It will be a style that Gunther isn’t used to going against, and it’s a matchup that most of us haven’t seen. The refreshing nature of the contest will make it one of the best, if not the best, on the card.

Gunther has been great as the world champion, and it doesn’t look like WWE is going to take the strap off of him now. We are heading into the biggest time of the year and Gunther has an aura of importance surrounding him.

He would be the perfect champion for a babyface to chase and having him lose now would be a mistake. However, Uso would be perfect for a mini-program before the ‘Mania chase begins so look for a Dusty finish here.

Winner: Gunther by DQ or Countout

Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus (Intercontinental Championship Match)

This match is going to be as physical as one will get. Bron Breakker and Sheamus are known for their hard-hitting styles, and there should be little doubt that they are going to take this up to 11 under the bright lights of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The winner of this match may be the most in doubt from every match on the card.

Bron Breakker has been great as the Intercontinental Champion but hasn’t been featured a ton on WWE programming. Similarly, Sheamus needs this championship to complete his set of titles, and the fan support has been swelling for the Celtic Warrior. A win for Sheamus would provide a great pop and a boost to the mid-card.

Also, Breakker has lost the strap before, and it didn’t hurt his character. It’s hard to see that happening now.

Winner: Sheamus

Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jax (Women’s World Heavyweight Championship Match)

The match is the story of the Unstoppable Force meeting the Immovable Object. It’s a story of power and strength versus more power and strength.

There is going to be nothing fancy about this match as both women are set to tear into one another. It will be a battle of wills as both will use whatever power necessary to win the day.

There is hope that this contest will fare better than their matches of the past. These are different performers. They have both evolved and will no doubt put on a power display for the ages on Saturday.

Ripley just got her championship back after a year of work. There is no way that she will drop the championship so soon after winning it. She will be in a huge program at WrestleMania, and the championship needs to be around her waist.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

Jacob Fatu vs. Bron Strowman

The Samoan Werewolf and The Monster of Monsters is going to be a hoss battle if there ever was one. These two men are going to move the ring there is so much mass within it, and it is going to be a fantastic battle.

No doubt that Strowman will control parts of the match but this contest is here to make Jacob Fatu look like a beast. He will bust out all his greatest hits, and perhaps some new ones, to get the win here. This match is in place to jumpstart the push of Jacob Fatu that we all knew was coming.

Winner: Jacob Fatu

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on Saturday Night’s Main Event and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
