2025 is the year of the WWE TNA partnership….yep, you read that right.<\/p>\n
When Jordynne Grace appeared in the 2024 Royal Rumble, it is unlikely anyone could have imagined what would have come next. But Grace’s appearance led to a working relationship between TNA and WWE that saw talent crossover and appear on both shows, reuniting factions and creating new moments in the process. Fast forward to 2025 and that relationship is formally and officially being expanded as it was announced on January 16th, that the two companies are entering into a multi-year partnership that will create more opportunities for crossover across all brands.<\/p>\n
The WWE TNA partnership was announced by WWE in a press release that reads in part:<\/a><\/p>\n The agreement will enable talent to garner additional exposure across key WWE and TNA programming, including weekly flagship shows such as NXT \u2013 which airs live on The CW \u2013 and TNA iMPACT!, select WWE Premium Live Events and TNA pay-per-views, in turn bolstering their in-ring development with exposure to world-class talent and coaching.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThis historic relationship demonstrates that collaboration and competition do not have to be mutually exclusive,\u201d said Ariel Shnerer, Senior Vice President of Content & Distribution for TNA Wrestling and Anthem Sports & Entertainment. \u201cOur partnership allows the TNA Wrestling brand and its incredible athletes to reach a significantly wider audience, while giving WWE and NXT stars an opportunity to cross the line and gain valuable experience, as they join forces with one of the most talented rosters in professional wrestling today. The response to our collaboration over the past year has been tremendous and both companies have benefited, but the fans have reaped the greatest rewards from this talent crossover and working relationship.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe look forward to growing and evolving our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its outstanding group of athletes by creating new opportunities to further the development of our talent and to elevate the viewer experience at home,\u201d said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.<\/em><\/p>\n Probably safe to say no one had this on their 2025 bingo card, but here it is, and what an incredible opportunity this will be for all wrestlers and wrestling fans. Years ago, even just the word TNA was taboo with commentators never mentioning it on broadcasts. Now, not only does it receive mentions but even in WWE’s press release, the company is referred to as “one of the world’s top wrestling brands.” It is hard to believe any of this would have happened even just three years ago.<\/p>\n The WWE TNA partnership has been fruitful and now, it will only continue to grow and expand. As Paul Levesque tweeted<\/a>, “Massive news for everyone. WWE, TNA, <\/span>and, most importantly, fans around the world. This valuable partnership will help prepare both companies for the next generation of this industry.”<\/span><\/p>\n We can’t wait to see what happens next but something tells us JBL’s appearance on Monday Night Raw<\/a> might offer more clues…<\/p>\n
