{"id":12799,"date":"2018-01-22T13:46:18","date_gmt":"2018-01-22T18:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/?p=12799"},"modified":"2018-01-22T13:46:18","modified_gmt":"2018-01-22T18:46:18","slug":"match-point-ar-fox-vs-tetsuya-naito","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2018\/01\/22\/match-point-ar-fox-vs-tetsuya-naito\/","title":{"rendered":"Match Point: AR Fox vs Tetsuya Naito (2\/18\/2018)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Match Point returns for<strong> Tetsuya Naito<\/strong>&#8216;s first non-New Japan\u00a0tour\u00a0in the US ever.\u00a0 In his third match (following matches with <strong>Wrestling Revolver<\/strong> and<strong> AAW<\/strong> the nights previous), he takes on\u00a0indie star\u00a0<strong>AR<\/strong> <strong>Fox\u00a0<\/strong>(aka Dante Fox on Lucha Underground).\u00a0 The match is being held to commemorate the one year anniversary of\u00a0<strong>Glory Pro Wrestling<\/strong>, Sunday February 18.\u00a0They will be looking to get people talking about the wrestling rather than former owner\u00a0<strong>Michael Elgin<\/strong>, with a first time ever meeting between two great workers with very different styles in AR Fox vs Tetsuya Naito.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12878\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12878\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-12878\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/01\/DT8X3f2UMAA-5Zq-1024x819.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"512\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12878\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Glory Pro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The leader of <strong>Los Ingobernables De Japon<\/strong>, Naito wrestles using the ways of &#8220;Tranquilo&#8221;.\u00a0 He will slow the match to his pace and taunt Fox at every chance.\u00a0 When he gets an opening he will unleash an onslaught\u00a0of fast-paced athletic moves for maximum effect.\u00a0 His gameplan is to soften up his opponents for his\u00a0<strong>Destino\u00a0<\/strong>finisher. \u00a0Naito goes in having lost to\u00a0<strong>Kazuchika Okada\u00a0<\/strong>at <strong><em>Wrestle Kingdom 12<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Despite losing, Naito became a star in the eyes of all the fans seeing him for the first time.\u00a0 Getting to see the charismatic anti-hero live and outside a Japanese ring will be incredibly cool and must see for any fan of Glory Pro and will bring a lot of eyes to this fantastic promotion.\u00a0 The crowd will no doubt eat up Naito&#8217;s presence and he won&#8217;t look out of place having a hot crowd behind him.\u00a0 This is a rare chance to see an NJPW star compete in an independent company.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_12882\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12882\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12882\" src=\"https:\/\/lwosonprowrestling.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2018\/01\/2e8940c3b790d5dbcffd6ef8f912cf91-bad-bad-shirts-e1516646660569.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12882\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: NJPW<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He faces one of the most underrated workers in all the US.\u00a0 AR Fox is the opposite of Naito.
