For weeks, Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed engaged in some of the most physical battles that anyone has ever seen.

To put a stop to the carnage, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce booked a “Last Monster Standing” match between the two men.

Calling it a brawl would be putting it way too lightly. This match had everything you’d want in a battle between two colossal behemoths. Announce tables were smashed, security and referees were thrown around like rag dolls, and the ring even collapsed.

But when that happened, a returning Seth “Freakin’” Rollins hit a stomp on Reed, allowing Strowman to pick up the victory. His return and subsequent action spell out Reed’s next feud clearly, but should Reed be worried about his next challenger?

Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ Reason for the Attack

Rollins’ actions last night sparked a flurry of reactions, but it wasn’t just a random attack. He wanted retribution for what happened nearly two months back. On the August 5, 2024, episode of Raw, Rollins was the victim of one of Reed’s biggest rampages inside of a WWE ring.

After a promo battle between Rollins and CM Punk, leading to Drew McIntyre luring Punk out of the ring, Rollins was left defenseless and alone. Left as a sitting duck, Reed attacked him, gaining the attention of Pearce and the WWE fans.

He unleashed six tsunamis onto Rollins, leaving him lying on the mat coughing up blood. It seemed like Rollins was just a casualty in Reed’s path to the battle with Strowman until the closing events of last night’s Last Monster Standing match reignited the feud between the two men.

Why Rollins Has the Upper Hand on Bronson Reed

It should be easy to pick out a winner between the two men. Reed is much stronger and more powerful than Rollins. However, the returning Visionary has the upper hand in the feud.

While missing several weeks of shows recovering from this attack, he saw Reed destroy The Miz, R-Truth, and Strowman, knowing that he was going to have to strike at the most opportunistic time.

He strategically picked out the time when Reed was most vulnerable to make his presence known.

Reed had been thrown through the announce table, flattened by Strowman’s dive, and hit with a variety of objects. He was clearly losing strength, allowing Rollins to easily hit the stomp.

Rollins is clearly healthy and recovered, while Reed took part in a match that took a lot of out of him physically. It is clear that Rollins has the advantage over Reed at this moment.

Potential Outlook on the Feud

Seth “Freakin” Rollins’ return should instill some fear into Bronson Reed. Yes, Reed should be the favorite on paper, but when Rollins gets angry is when he shines.

He is coming off of a potentially serious injury caused by Reed, something that he does not take lightly. Rollins is also fighting to show everyone that Reed is human and can be defeated, something which takes a lot of effort when it happens.

Given Rollins’ determination and drive to beat him, Bronson Reed should not take his next challenge lightly.

Otherwise, it may end in a loss against the man he injured nearly two months ago.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – WWE – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
