Everyone will wrestle the other nine competitors. Points are awarded for a win (2) or a draw (1). The top three of each Block will progress to the six-man playoffs. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With such high stakes and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">so<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> many competitors, there&#8217;s a lot to look out for. He is competing in the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">G1 Climax<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to earn a shot at the title he already holds. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sorry, what? Naito entered the tournament two weeks before he won the championship. It&#8217;s his 15 consecutive <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">G1<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, winning in 2013, 2017, and 2023.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If Naito wins the <em>G1<\/em>, he will get to pick his opponent at <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Wrestle Kingdom 19<\/strong>.<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">His opening weekend is as tough as possible. In a tournament littered with young up-and-comers, he faces two of the most established acts in two days<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. He&#8217;s the first Kazakh wrestler in NJPW history and a Gold Medal winner in freestyle wrestling at the 2021 Asian Wrestling Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">His match against <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ren Narito<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> will open the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">G1 Climax 34<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. On day two, the first wrestler from Kazakstan faces the first of Maori origin <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">HENARE<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Oleg is one of the largest competitors in the tournament. As one of the newest, he was forced to qualify for the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">G1<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Impressively he defeated <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Taichi <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Toru Yano<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> on his route to the <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">G1<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Ospreay never won the G1 and if one of the three British wrestlers in this year&#8217;s tournament can they will stake a claim as the best Brit. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Global main event talent<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2022\/03\/27\/zack-sabre-jr-wins-2022-new-japan-cup\/\" target=\"_self\">\u00a0Sabre Jr&#8217;s<\/a> match with Naito is the headline-grabbing <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">bout<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> from the opening weekend.
