The person you love to hate. In <strong>Continental Championship Wrestling<\/strong>, the top heel is their champion. That man is the unpinned &#8220;Violent Gentlemen&#8221; <strong>Miles Blackwell<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miles has <a  href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.apple.com\/us\/podcast\/botched-spots-and-chair-shots\/id1561502956?i=1000629943996\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sat down<\/a> with <strong>Will Gray<\/strong> from <strong>Last Word on Sports<\/strong>, on two different occasions to discuss his career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Origin of the Violent Gentleman<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Born in the United Kingdom, Miles came to the United States at three years old. His roots to his British heritage are prevalent in everything he does. Blackwell started like many young fans, growing up watching <strong>WWE<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<strong>Tatanka<\/strong> was one of my favorites, then the <strong>Hart Foundation<\/strong>. <strong>Owen Hart<\/strong> would become one of my favorites.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miles would decide that wrestling was the path he was going to take, and found his home. He would go on to debut in <strong>CCW<\/strong> in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cContinental Championship wrestling was the start of my training. I started and very quickly I was humbled.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blackwell would talk about learning as much as he could as efficiently as possible. The training team at CCW would help shape Miles, by pounding in the basics. He would say that \u201cbefore you worry about all that other stuff, you have to master the basics.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Meat and Potatoes\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9sJqdwxPFG8?si=NbbjdP_B96EMq1Bj\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the early parts of his career, Miles would find himself in a feud with \u201cThe Machine\u201d <strong>Bryce Maddox<\/strong>. This feud was for the CCW Southern States Title. It was during this time that Miles and Bryce would both use each other to further shape their characters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWithout the Devil, God would be bored.\u201d Miles would go on to say he was the \u201cAnti-Bryce.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Blackwell has always been a heel. He is proud of his career as a heel. He would reference the work of <strong>Roddy Piper<\/strong> when discussing this particular part of his character work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPiper was one of my favorites\u2026 He transcended in-ring ability and in-ring personality.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like Piper, Blackwell uses his cunning in-ring aptitude, alongside his silver tongue to garner reactions from the crowd.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019ve had people swing on me. I\u2019m proud of that.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his career Blackwell would have a chance to work in Georgia, branching out more into the South East. In 2023, Miles and Bryce would continue their feud and Miles would be crowned the CCW Heavyweight Champion.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today in Wrestling<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9z0EPWBeoJk?si=3VF-fJPLzotUfvmm\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked what it felt like to become the CCW champ, Miles was very direct. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe saying is, &#8216;the man makes the title,&#8217; but I was already the man long before I got my first title.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d Over the last few years, has gone from the new guy to the locker room leader. He would say one of the biggest changes over the last few years was the respect he was given, going \u201cfrom the new guy to being the top lad.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miles Blackwell, also became a father this year. His family grew as he and his wife welcomed their son to the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miles is regularly featured on \u201cCCW Surge\u201d on their <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@CCWVideoProductions\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube<\/a> <\/strong>page.
