Also, the 34 participants that will compete in the G1 Climax and information regarding the mini-play-in tournament <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">were revealed<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Let&#8217;s get to this recap of NJPW <em>SOUL<\/em> in Sapporo:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>El Desperado<\/strong> defeated <strong>SHO<\/strong> in the Steel Cage match to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. T<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">he match itself was compelling<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, <strong>House<\/strong><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong> of Torture<\/strong> got their butts handed to them by <strong>Team Hontai<\/strong> (<strong>Hiroshi Tanahashi<\/strong>, <strong>Toru Yano<\/strong>,<strong> Boltin Oleg<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Satoshi Kojima<\/strong>) too. Post-match, the newly crowned IWGP Jr. Champion called out <strong>DOUKI<\/strong> for a future title match <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the former <strong>Perros del Mal member<\/strong> accepted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The G1 Climax 34 entrants were revealed on this show as well <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8211; A Block: Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Shota Umino, SANADA, EVIL, Zack Sabre Jr, Great O-Khan, Gabe Kidd &amp; Jake Lee\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8211; B Block: David Finlay, Hirooki Goto, Yota Tsuji, Yuya Uemura, Jeff Cobb, Ren Narita &amp; Konosuke Takeshita<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A play-in tournament will take place up until July 5th,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> 2 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">guys will round out the G1 Climax 34.\u00a0 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Here are the competitors involved with the qualifying tournament:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8211; A Block &#8211; KENTA, Tomohiro Ishii, YOSHI-HASHI, Callum Newman, Chase Owens, Yujiro Takahashi\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8211; B Block &#8211; Hiroshi Tanahashi, Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano, TJP, Taichi, Satoshi Kojima.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>David Finlay<\/strong> retained the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship against <strong>SANADA<\/strong> on the undercard.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>HENARE<\/strong> won the NEVER Openweight Championship from <strong>Shingo Takagi <\/strong><\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in a <em><strong>Dominion<\/strong><\/em> rematch.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Drilla Moloney<\/strong>\/<strong>Clark Connors<\/strong> retained the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag team Championships against <strong>TMDK<\/strong> (<strong>Kosei Fujita<\/strong>\/<strong>Robbie Eagles<\/strong>),<\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The NEVER Openweight Trios Championships changed hands as <strong>Los Ingobernables de Japon<\/strong> lost in their first defense against the former champions.
