Yet another WWE<\/strong> PLE has passed, and Logan Paul<\/strong> has not had to defend his WWE United States Championship. In fact, since winning the belt in November 2023 at WWE Crown Jewel<\/strong><\/em>, Paul has only put the title on the line twice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the \u2018Maverick\u2019 of WWE defeated Rey Mysterio<\/strong> at the tail end of 2023, he has kept a tight grip on his belt, despite the best efforts of Kevin Owens<\/strong> and Randy Orton<\/strong>. Although he\u2019s put on some outstanding matches, his apparent disdain for defending his title has left some WWE fans clamoring for a change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Whose Game Is It?<\/h3>\n

Ever since Paul captured the title, rumors have run rampant that he would clash with LA Knight<\/strong> eventually, with many hoping that the two would face off at WWE WrestleMania 40<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On the May 17th episode of WWE SmackDown<\/strong><\/em>, a simple staredown seemed to sow the seeds for a potential feud between the \u201cSocial Media Megastar\u201d and the aforementioned Knight.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the announcement that WWE SummerSlam<\/strong><\/em> will be emanating from Cleveland, Ohio, the stage seems to be set for Logan Paul to have an unfortunate return to his hometown. In fact, this writer tried to speak this into existence in the immediate fallout of WWE WrestleMania 40<\/em><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maverick vs. Megastar<\/h3>\n

LA Knight would be the perfect babyface opponent for Paul to finally be defeated by, as his popularity is on par, if not greater than, that of the United States Champion. After his victory in the Slim Jim Battle Royal last year, this would be a huge step up for Knight.<\/span><\/p>\n

WWE fans were given a taste of how Knight and Paul might bounce off one another in the build-up to WWE Money in the Bank 2023<\/strong><\/em>, with the pair exchanging entertaining verbal blows.<\/span><\/p>\n
