With a handful of last-minute segments also to build towards other storylines, more matches may be added to an already stacked PPV.

If you need a reason to be amped, jacked or fired up, let’s check out the announced card:

AEW Dynamite Segments include:

Jon Moxley will appear live

Willow Nightingale/ Mercedes Mone preview for their TBS Championship match at DoN

We’ll hear from Trios Champions, Bullet Club Gold after they attacked PAC on Collision

AEW Dynamite Matches include:

Konosuke Takeshita vs. Matt Sydal

Kyle O’Reilly vs. Malakai Black

Three-way number one contender match for the FTW Championship: Hook vs. Katsuyori Shibata vs. Bryan Keith

Bryan Danielson vs. Satnam Singh

Toni Storm and Mariah May vs. Saraya and Harley Cameron

Roderick Strong and Trent Berretta vs. Orange Cassidy and Will Ospreay

Swerve Strickland vs. Nick Wayne

Freak Show Match

Bryan Danielson’s full-time wrestling career is getting closer and closer to the end. Danielson has worked an incredible array of matches since the announcement that he will withdraw from regular competition. From Zack Sabre Jr. to Will Ospreay to even traveling to Mexico to face a childhood hero, Blue Panther.

Danielson has competed in technical classics, and bloody-drenched brawls, but on Wednesday he faces an unknown quantity in the One in a Billion, Satnam Singh!

Hired by The Elite to take out Danielson ahead of Anarchy in the Arena, Satnam might prove to be a dangerous force. The appeal of this match isn’t its star ratings. It’s not about whether this will be a technical classic, although the American Dragon knows how to bring the fire to burn even the tallest redwood down, as proved earlier this year against Lance Archer.

This match has both a David vs. Goliath and freak show appeal. Singh has proven himself to be a difficult man to take down. Ahead of DoN Danielson needs to bring everything to survive. Whether or not he walks into Sunday intact is debatable.

Banger of the Night: Cassidy and Ospreay Team Up

Of all the matches, in terms of the potential for match of the night, the prospect of seeing Orange Cassidy and Will Ospreay teaming is mouth-watering. From an in-ring standpoint, Cassidy and Ospreay’s chemistry as opponents from Forbidden Door 2022 was incredible. For me, this match changed by opinion of Will Ospreay as a wrestler (which you can read about here).

Yet beyond the ring, Don Callis has been in Cassidy’s ear the last few weeks as his friendship with Trent Berretta has fallen apart. How will this fit into The Invisible Hand’s plans? Is Cassidy at risk of going bad and joining The Don Callis Family?

Roderick Strong as AEW’s International Champion has been the sleeper hit of the spring. Strong is performing at his peak right now with excellent matches against Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly on previous PPVs. Berretta is also one of the most consistent in-ring performers. The tension between both teams could be palpable and explosive ahead of their matches on Sunday.

What Is The Patriarchy Taking Next?

Swerve Strickland defends his AEW World Championship against Christian Cage at DoN. Chosen by The Elite after Swerve’s expletive comments, The Patriarch has revenge in mind. Waiting for his time, just as Cage did with Jack Perry, Cage has been waiting to take something from Swerve due to two transgressions.

First, causing Cage to lose to Sting and Darby Allin at All In when Swerve was sealed in a casket at Wembley Stadium. Second, for beating down his son, Nick Wayne, into a bloody mess in Nick’s own home. Week by week, Christian has been taking from Swerve.

First, Killswitch tore out a lock of Swerve’s hair. Then The Mogul Embassy. However, where does Prince Nana’s allegiance lie? Last week Wayne gave Swerve a receipt, bloodying him and rubbing a picture of Swerve’s daughter into the champion’s blood.

Wayne and Swerve have a history beyond AEW from the north-west Indy scene. Since joining Christian, this match may give Wayne a chance to show new layers of himself. Yet Swerve is no angel himself. Blood has been spilt.

Expect this grudge match to end with a surprise, given Christian will likely have something else that belonged to Strickland.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Header photo – AEW – Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
