There were surprises, title changes, champions retaining, and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">fantastic matches in an overall great PLE.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Big congrats<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to Jade Cargill &amp; Bianca Belair\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">who<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0became the new WWE Women&#8217;s Tag Team Champions.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0is Jade&#8217;s first Championship in WWE. Now let&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">take a<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0look at the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a05\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">takeaways from this PLE in\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Lyon<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0France.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tWC_Vkj5J9s?si=F7M6s7j5ZTapr0IM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">#1 Lyon, France Needs More WWE PLE<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After WWE Backlash\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0first thing that comes to mind is WWE needs to do more Premium Live Events in France.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At this\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">point<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0maybe they should consider WrestleMania 41 or 42 in Lyon, France. The fans were some of the most enthusiastic and upbeat\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">fans<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0in any WWE PLE. Sometime halfway through the PLE, the camera was shaking because of how loud the fans were.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Some of the special moments that stood out were with<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Randy Orton,<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jey Uso,<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">AJ Styles<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, &amp;\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cody Rhodes<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Never\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in my life<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0had I ever seen a WWE crowd sing Randy Orton&#8217;s theme song the way they did. The fans loved Orton as they would sing his song from beginning to end of his entrance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The fans also posed with Orton whenever he would do his signature pose in the middle of the match. The French crowd also jumped up and down and joined alongside Jey Uso during his entrance music. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Whenever The Phenomenal AJ Styles would come\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">out<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the fans would cheer and chant his name. The fans even sang Rhodes&#8217; Kingdom song in the main event of Backlash. It was one of the best WWE crowds I have ever seen\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0they were cheering like it was WrestleMania for every\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">single<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0match. WWE needs to reward France with more PLE in the future, hopefully, a WrestleMania too.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">#4 The Bloodline Storyline Continues Strong<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At WWE\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Backlash<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Bloodline members\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Solo Sikoa<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tama Tonga<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0defeated Randy Orton &amp;\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Kevin Owens<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0was a great match that went back and forth. It was a Street Fight type of match\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0it favored the Bloodline. Randy Orton would hit an RKO on Solo on top of the announce table\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">hurting<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Orton&#8217;s back. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Meanwhile, in the ring, Owens would hit a brainbuster from the top rope into four chairs on Tama Tonga. As the referee is about to count to three, someone pulls the ref\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">to the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0outside.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ended up being<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the debut of Tama Tonga&#8217;s brother, Tanga Loa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tanga Loa would hit both Orton &amp; KO with steel steps.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0allowed Solo to capitalize with a Samoan Spike on Owens for the win. People were worried after\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Roman Reigns<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0lost at Mania that the Bloodline storyline would stop\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">but<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0it is still going strong. Now that Reigns hasn&#8217;t\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">been seen<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0since Mania, it seems\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that Solo<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Sikoa is taking over the Bloodline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Solo&#8217;s Bloodline includes two new additions, Tama Tonga &amp; Tonga Loa\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">who<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0are more<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0famously known as\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Guerrillas of Destiny<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0in the Indies.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0With a new member in Tonga Loa, The Bloodline storyline is still going strong and better than ever.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">#3 The Bloodline Is Not Done With Jey Uso<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before Jey Uso&#8217;s matchup against\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Damian Priest<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0for the WWE World Heavyweight\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Championship<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0there was a brief segment with Jey Uso &amp; The Bloodline. As Jey was getting hyped up before his big match for a major\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">championship<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the Solo would stare down Jey Uso. Solo would smirk and sneer at Jey\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0as he\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">leaves<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0he is followed by both Tanga and Tama\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">who<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0also stare down the former bloodline member. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jey Uso then looks at\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Paul Heyman<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, who does not say anything but looks at Jey Uso with a pleading look\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">asking<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0for help. Jey Uso would shrug it off and focus on his match right after.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This little backstage segment at Backlash shows us that The Bloodline\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is not done<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0with Jey Uso. Solo will probably never forgive Jey for leaving the Bloodline and helping Rhodes defeat Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 40. Not too long\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ago<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Tama Tonga made his WWE Debut at Smackdown by attacking Jey&#8217;s twin brother Jimmy Uso.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0could lead to a Bloodline Civil War\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in the future\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">maybe<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0at Survivor Series.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">#2 The Judgement Day Is Falling Apart<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For weeks after winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, Damian Priest has been distancing himself from\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Judgement Day<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Every time a member of the Judgement Day would help him in a match, Priest would get upset. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Backlash<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0it was no different<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, when<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">JD McDonagh<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0interfered to try and help, Priest would yell at him and push him to stay back.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Then\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">when<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the match ended and he found out\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Finn Balor<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0also got involved to help him win, Priest would put his hands on Balor\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">as well<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ever since\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Rhea Ripley<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has been out with an injury and relinquished her Women&#8217;s World Championship, Judgement Day seems to be falling apart. Rhea Ripley seems to have been the glue that has held them together. With both Ripley and\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dominik Mysterio<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> out with injuries, what will happen to the Judgement Day? Damian Priest has made it clear he wants no help from Judgement Day. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ever since he won the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">championship<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> he thinks he can do everything on his own without their help, and it seems we might get a babyface Priest in the future. A Finn Balor vs Damian Priest could be shortly for the World Heavyweight Championship. One thing is for sure <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Judgement Day might not last for another year.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">#1 Cody Rhodes Looked Incredible in his first Championship Defense<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fyrrfGZc1vU?si=HgOVUnpVXMETZCbH\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">so<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0refreshing to see a WWE Championship match with a clean\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">defense<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and no outside interference. Since Roman Reigns had been\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">champion<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0we haven&#8217;t seen that at all for a couple of years\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">thanks<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to the Bloodline Interferences. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now that Cody Rhodes is champion, his first PLE\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">defense<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0was without\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">any<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0interference in a fairly fought matchup. This WWE Backlash main event match was a match of the year nominee type of match. Both the challenger and champion looked incredible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">AJ Styles lived up to his namesake phenomenal\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Rhodes shined as the champion. Both pulled out all the stops\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">but<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0at the end of the day, Cody Rhodes proved why he is one of the best wrestlers in the world right now and why he is our Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
