This week\u2019s episode of\u00a0WWE NXT<\/strong><\/em> is a special one as week one of Halloween Havoc<\/strong><\/em> takes place. It’s a stacked card as two championships are on the line, an exciting in-ring debut is set to happen, the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament rolls on, and some intriguing Halloween-inspired matches take place.<\/p>\n

To make it all the more better, SmackDown<\/strong><\/em> superstar Shotzi will serve as the host of the event. Here is all you need to know ahead of the October 24 edition of NXT<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    History Will Be Made As Becky Lynch Defends Championship Against Lyra Valkyria<\/h3>\n

    Becky Lynch<\/strong> has been very active as the NXT Women’s Champion defending the title on both NXT<\/em> and Raw<\/strong><\/em>. At Halloween Havoc<\/em> week one, ‘The Man’ defends the title against a fellow Irish countrywoman in what will surely be a historic moment. Lyra Valkyria<\/strong> has cited Lynch as her greatest inspiration and now their paths cross for the first time.<\/p>\n

    There have been notable Irish wrestlers who have stepped into the squared circle but, with this match, this will be the first time that two Irish women compete against each other for a WWE championship. This is undoubtedly the biggest match of Valkyria’s career and, although she could be considered the underdog heading into the match, the rising star could also prove to be the greatest threat to Lynch’s reign thus far.<\/p>\n

    This promises to be an exciting match-up as a classic mentor versus mentee bout which could highlight the parallels and contrasts between them. Valkyria heads into the bout with momentum coming off of a victory over former title challenger Tegan Nox<\/strong> on the October 17 edition of NXT<\/em>.<\/p>\n

    Lynch will have to successfully retain the title against Indi Hartwell<\/strong> – a former champion in her own right – on the October 23 episode of Raw<\/em> if she wants to head into Halloween Havoc<\/em> still the reigning and defending champion.<\/p>\n
