The thing is, Wayne only recently turned 18. Yet, he’s already won the DEFY World Championship, and struck it big in doubles action, winning the Game Changer Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

In fact, “The Prodigy” has been so impressive that the right people were taking notice. Back on February 2022, AEW pillar, and long-time training mate of Nick Wayne, Darby Allin offered him a contract for the promotion, that he can accept once the time is right. Well, that time is now.

This Wednesday, Nick Wayne will have his much-awaited AEW debut. Unfortunately, it may be the toughest way to break into the big leagues, especially if your debut match is against a competitor the caliber of Swerve Strickland. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion is in no mood, after losing the quarterfinals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Tournament with, ironically enough, his old running mate Keith Lee.

The Mogul Affiliates leader will definitely have a bone to pick with whoever poor soul gets in his way. In this case, the up-and-comer Nick Wayne. Will Swerve regain his momentum and dispatch the youngster easily? Or will Nick Wayne prove that he can hang and pull off a major upset?

A Semifinals Slugfest

In a shocking turn of events, defending Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament winner Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. was eliminated by her arch-rival Ruby Soho on last week’s AEW Dynamite. With that transpiring, #AllElite fans are assured of a first-time winner for this year’s edition of the tournament. As such, this tournament is all the more interesting.

On this week’s Dynamite, the tournament continues as the upset-pulling Soho takes on the surging young competitor in the form of Skye Blue in a semifinals matchup. Ruby joining The Outcasts may be the best thing that has ever happened to her, allowing “The Runaway” to find her edge. However, Skye is no slouch either. Blue has been extremely impressive in her burgeoning career. A tournament win could be the accolade that pushes her to the upper echelon of the AEW Women’s Division.

Who will secure the first finals spot in this tourney?
