The NFL Draft wasn’t the only major drafting event taking place over the last few days as WWE kicked off their next brand split draft, starting with Friday’s edition of SmackDown and concluding tonight on Raw and Raw Talk. As picks happen, make sure to check back here for WWE Draft results, updates, and analysis on which wrestlers are headed to SmackDown, which are headed to Raw, and any surprises such as returns and NXT debuts we may see along the way.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The WWE Draft has officially returned and night one is in the books. The draft kicked off on Friday’s edition of SmackDown and continues tonight on Raw with a brand new pool of superstars from SmackDown, Raw, and NXT eligible to be drafted across the brands. With special guest drafters including Shawn Michaels, Road Dogg, Teddy Long, and more, night one of the draft saw over 25 wrestlers drafted, with another 15+ taken during day two on SmackDown LowDown. Four wrestlers, Omos (w\/ MVP), Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, and NXT’s Von Wagner were all declared as free agents, meaning they will be able to appear on both brands for the time-being, until they end up a permanent roster member for one of the brands (which very well could see some of these free agents heading to NXT). Overall, days one and two saw a surprising seven NXT wrestlers either get drafted to Raw or SmackDown or be named free agents.<\/p>\n

As was the case with SmackDown on Friday, tonight’s episode of Raw features a draft pool of eligible wrestlers, including more “select NXT superstars” likely to include Bron Breakker, among others. Some notable names in Raw’s pool include Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Charlotte Flair, Judgment Day (eligible to be drafted without Rhea Ripley) Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn, Trish Stratus, and the Usos. It is perhaps that last name that will make for the most interesting draft reaction tonight as with Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa already drafted as an entity to SmackDown, will WWE look to separate the Bloodline and create fresh matchups for Jimmy and Jey? If the Usos do end up on Raw, is that Reigns’ way of extending the Bloodline’s dominance to both brands or is it his way of disposing of the cousins who failed him? There are a lot of other intriguing wrestler moves – including the potential split of Rhea Ripley from Judgment Day – that tonight’s day three of the draft could bring to the forefront so let’s take a look at the full pool for Raw, night two.<\/p>\n
