Before becoming the dominant Impact world champion he is, Alexander had success as a tag team wrestler as well. With Ethan Page as “The North“, they won the Impact Tag Team Championship twice and had successful runs as champions. Alexander proved he can be just as dominant as a tag team wrestler as he is in singles competition. An incredible in-ring worker, Alexander has won the Impact world championship on two occasions, with his first reign lasting an entire three minutes. His current reign has lasted an incredible 324 days and counting, the longest in Impact wrestling history. He won his first championship on April 23, 2022, in Poughkeepsie, New York, against Moose at the Rebellion pay-per-view.

The Impact Word Championship is not the only championship Josh Alexander has held in Impact wrestling. As mentioned before, he held the tag team titles as well as the X-Division Championship as well.

WWE’s Roman Reigns is one of the best world champions across all promotions. This is due to attendance, brand, his following, and storytelling. However, with in-ring ability the edge has to go to Josh Alexander as one of the purest wrestlers in the business today. His style may not be for everyone but he has been successful using the tools that make him dangerous.

Is he the best wrestler across all promotions? That is up for debate but he is, arguably, one of the more underrated champions. Not only is he one of the best wrestlers, Josh Alexander is one of the more technically sound wrestlers in the sport. His different styles in the ring keep the opponents guessing. How long will Josh Alexander hold the Impact World Championship? That is something only he knows but as long as he is on a roll, the future is in his hands. In 2023, Alexander has a 9-2-1 record in 12 matches, so far.

Alexander’s next pay-per-view match will not be a singles match, yet six-man tag team action at the Sacrifice pay-per-view. Alexander will team with Rich Swann and Frankie Kazarian to take on Time Machine. The Sacrifice pay-per-view will take place on March 24, 2023, at St. Clair’s College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

More From LWOS Pro Wrestling

Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
