Friday Night SmackDown<\/strong> is here once more! Tonight’s show will be the latest blue-branded installment of the yearly “Road to WrestleMania<\/strong><\/em>” and will be live from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. There are a few things to cover ahead of tonight’s show, all of which will add layers to a WrestleMania<\/em> build which is currently lackluster. So what is in store for SmackDown viewers tonight? Let’s dive in and take a look.<\/p>\n

Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley<\/h3>\n

Last month, Rhea Ripley<\/strong> dominated the women’s Royal Rumble<\/strong> <\/em>to win the match for the first time and secure a highly-anticipated rematch against Charlotte Flair<\/strong> for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania<\/em>. However, before she gets to WrestleMania<\/em>, she will need to overcome fellow Royal Rumble<\/em> starter Liv Morgan<\/strong> tonight. Liv respects Rhea, but she has far more to prove in her own quest for redemption since losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship last year. A big win over Rhea would certainly go a long way in realizing that.<\/p>\n

Cody Rhodes Comes to SmackDown<\/h3>\n

Since winning the Royal Rumble<\/em> match two months ago and securing the right to challenge Roman Reigns<\/strong> at WrestleMania<\/em>, Cody Rhodes<\/strong> has not been involved in a feud with Reigns, but with his Wise Man, Paul Heyman<\/strong>. Whereas it has created an interesting war of words between the two, Cody must be feeling hard done by that he has not yet come face to face with the man he will actually<\/em> be facing at the event. Tonight, Cody is coming to SmackDown to do just that. However, as we are all aware, there is currently the potential brewing of a civil war within The Bloodline<\/strong>, as Jey Uso<\/strong> is still conflicted over his role within the faction. Roman knows he can’t allow the division to proceed too long, as there is now an American Nightmare breathing down his neck. Tune in to SmackDown on FOX at 8\/7c tonight to find out what happens!<\/p>\n

Not Announced But Expected for SmackDown<\/h4>\n

– Is a potential feud between Gunther<\/strong> and Drew McIntyre<\/strong> brewing ahead of WrestleMania<\/em>? Or are the Banger Bros<\/strong> (Drew & Sheamus<\/strong>) heading for a rivalry with the Viking Raiders<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

– Tegan Nox<\/strong> butted heads with Ronda Rousey<\/strong> last week. Expect Rousey to retaliate tonight.<\/p>\n

– Expect the continuation of a feud between Kofi Kingston<\/strong> and LA Knight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
