Dwayne “<\/em>The Rock” Johnson<\/em> has shared a first-look image of Becky Lynch<\/strong> as Cyndi Lauper<\/strong> in Young Rock<\/em>. Lynch will make her acting debut when the 3rd season of Young Rock<\/em> airs on NBC on Friday, November 4. <\/span>The Rock announced on his Instagram account that\u00a0Lynch<\/a> would be taking on the “daunting and fun” task of playing “the icon” Cyndi Lauper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A high level of commitment<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

“I was right there for Becky\u2019s audition and we were all very impressed at her high-level commitment as an actor to become Cyndi Lauper, ” he wrote.\u00a0 <\/span>“No easy task, but she worked her butt off and went all in – and crushed it,” he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening episode of the season takes place around the time of WrestleMania 1<\/em><\/strong> in 1985. We will see Becky Lynch as Cyndi Lauper in this episode. Lynch will play Lauper as she hosts a party around that period in time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lauper in WWE\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lauper made multiple appearances in the WWE<\/strong> during the ‘Rock N Wrestling Connection’. She was a regular guest on Roddy Piper’s<\/a><\/strong> Piper’s Pit alongside Wendi Richter<\/strong> who she managed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lauper was an integral part of the inaugural WrestleMania<\/em> and helped bring mainstream attention to the event. Additionally, Lauper appeared in her manager role at WrestleMania<\/em> as Richter won the WWF Women’s Championship<\/a> from Leilani Kai<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
