The section labeled &#8220;Special Committee Investigation&#8221; reveals that the investigation cost the company $19.4 million, over its 9-month lifespan. It also alludes to John Laurinaitis, who also left the company amidst alleged executive misconduct, but interestingly enough, does not do so by name despite it being mentioned in previous releases.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">As WWE announced today the special committee has been disbanded following the completion of their investigation into Vince McMahon.<\/p>\n<p>A WWE spokesman said Vince was \u201cdone, done\u201d &amp; would not be returning to the roles taken over by Triple H (Fightful)<\/p>\n<p>We are indeed in the clear. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HUtu5yflOD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/HUtu5yflOD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Wrestle Ops (@WrestleOps) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WrestleOps\/status\/1587934304486686720?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">November 2, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As previously announced, a Special Committee of independent members of the Board of Directors was formed to investigate alleged misconduct by Vincent K. McMahon, the Company\u2019s former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, who resigned from all positions held with the Company on July 22, 2022, but remains a stockholder with a controlling interest, and another executive, who is also no longer with the Company. The Special Committee investigation is now complete and the Special Committee has been disbanded. McMahon and the potential impact of the investigation of alleged executive misconduct.&#8221; For the layman, it&#8217;s a fancy way of saying that the company has no way to predict how the investigation will continue to affect them going into the 4th quarter. It remains to be seen what the recommendations from the committee were, or how strictly management in the company follows them following it.
