{"id":116434,"date":"2022-10-18T15:50:21","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T19:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=116434"},"modified":"2022-10-18T15:50:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T19:50:21","slug":"chris-jericho-extends-aew-deal-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2022\/10\/18\/chris-jericho-extends-aew-deal-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Jericho Extends AEW Deal to 2025, Adds New Responsibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Chris Jericho<\/strong> has extended his current <strong>All Elite Wrestling (AEW)<\/strong> deal to 2025.\u00a0 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He will also increase his &#8220;responsibilities within AEW, serving as a producer and creative advisor&#8221;, Tony Khan, Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, and Head of Creative of AEW, revealed. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jericho, who is the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2022\/09\/28\/chris-jericho-roh-world-champion\/\" target=\"_self\">current <strong>Ring of Honor<\/strong> World Champion<\/a>, will also continue to act as a mentor to young talent within AEW.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cChris Jericho long ago cemented his legacy as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, and we\u2019re fortunate to have his skills, charisma, knowledge and insights in AEW for years to come,&#8221; Khan said.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Chris Jericho Extends AEW Deal In &#8216;Career Year&#8217;<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The announcement comes in a year that Jericho has described on his <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IAmJericho\/status\/1582194939244335104\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Talk Is Jericho podcast as a &#8216;career year&#8217;<\/a>.
