Toni Storm<\/strong> was scheduled to face the AEW<\/strong> Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa<\/strong>, at AEW’s All Out<\/em><\/strong> PPV event. However, due to Rosa suffering an injury, she was not able to compete at the event. It was then announced that an Interim AEW Women’s Champion would be crowned at All Out<\/em>. At the event, a fatal-four way match took place that featured Toni Storm, Britt Baker<\/strong>, Jamie Hayter<\/strong> and Hikaru Shida<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Storm would go on to win the match and become the Interim Women’s Champion. While a future match with Rosa is set up to unify the championships, there are many women in AEW who could challenge Storm in the meantime.<\/p>\n

Hikaru Shida<\/h3>\n

Hikaru Shida is a former AEW Women’s Champion in her own right. She held the championship for 372 days, the longest reign since its inception. Shida is a fan favourite and is regarded by many as the best wrestler in the AEW Women’s division. She is the current\u00a0Pro Wrestling Wave \u2018Regina Di Wave Champion\u2019, which she won in Japan in August. Storm vs Shida is a highly anticipated match and seeing the two champions face off would be a treat for AEW fans.<\/p>\n

Julia Hart<\/h3>\n

Since joining the House of Black<\/strong> at AEW’s Double Or Nothing<\/em><\/strong> PPV in May, Julia Hart has been unstoppable. Hart has been a consistent competitor on AEW Dark<\/strong> and Dark: Elevation<\/strong>. She is currently on a 14-straight win streak that started way back in April. While she has not competed on AEW television since her House Of Black transformation, her continued in-ring improvement and character work could make her a formidable challenger for Storm.<\/p>\n

Anna Jay<\/h3>\n

In the All Out<\/em> post-show media scrum, Storm was asked who she wants to face next and she answered with Anna Jay<\/strong>. With Jay’s recent heel turn, as she left The Dark Order<\/strong> to join the Jericho Appreciation Society<\/strong>, this could make for an interesting feud. While Storm has years of wrestling experience over Jay, Jay has the J.A.S on her side. Before her heel turn, Jay had unsuccessfully challenged TBS Champion Jade Cargill<\/strong> at the Double Or Nothing<\/em> PPV. Jay’s new attitude (and new friends) would make her a good challenger for Storm.<\/p>\n

Tay Melo<\/h3>\n

Tay Melo<\/strong> is another member of the Jericho Appreciation Society, along with Anna Jay. She is one of the most prominent women on AEW television thanks to her alignment with the J.A.S and her real-life husband, Sammy Guevara<\/strong>. The couple currently hold the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions. Melo has received several Championship opportunities since arriving in AEW; she has faced former Women’s Champions Hikaru Shida and Britt Baker. Her most recent challenge was in March, when she unsuccessfully challenged the TBS Champion, Jade Cargill, at the Revolution<\/strong> <\/em>PPV. With Melo and Storm both possessing hard-hitting wrestling styles, it would be interesting to see them face off with the stakes so high.<\/p>\n

Penelope Ford<\/h3>\n

Storm and Penelope Ford<\/strong> had a Championship Eliminator match on the most recent episode of Dynamite. If Ford won, she would then challenge Storm for the Championship. Ford lost the match. However, her performance did not go unnoticed by fans. Ford returned from injury in August and putting her in a title feud with Storm would be a great way for her to rebuild the momentum she has lost over the past year. A feud between Storm and Ford would certainly elevate the women’s division, given the talent of both women.<\/p>\n
