Just announced Wednesday morning, Philadelphia has been chosen as the host site for WrestleMania 40<\/strong><\/em>, set to take place on April 6 and 7, 2024. This will mark the first time in 25 years that Philadelphia will host the marquee event and the first time ever that Lincoln Financial Field, home to the Philadelphia Eagles, will be the host stadium. It was also announced that Wells Fargo Center, located right across the street, will host the SmackDown and Raw after Mania shows and that the Pennsylvania Convention Center will be home to several fan events, likely including WrestleMania Axxess.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, PHL Sports, and WWE\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0(NYSE: WWE) are proud to announce that Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will host WWE\u2019s pop-culture extravaganza,\u00a0WrestleMania 40,\u00a0<\/i>on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024.<\/p>\n

WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0is more than a two-day event; it\u2019s a week-long celebration. In addition to\u00a0WrestleMania<\/i>, other events will include\u00a0Friday Night SmackDown<\/i>\u00ae<\/sup>, the 2024\u00a0WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony<\/i>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0Monday Night Raw<\/i>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0at Wells Fargo Center as well as other fan events at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. In addition, WWE will also host multiple community outreach events, including hospital visits and Be a STAR\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0bullying prevention rallies, designed to give back to the local region.<\/p>\n

Over the past decade,\u00a0WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0<\/i>has generated more than $1.25 billion in cumulative economic impact for the cities that have hosted the event. This past April, 156,352 fans from all 50 states and 53 countries attended\u00a0WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0at AT&T Stadium, generating a record $206.5 million economic windfall for the Dallas\/Arlington region.<\/p>\n
