This will mark the first time in 25 years that Philadelphia will host the marquee event and the first time ever that Lincoln Financial Field, home to the Philadelphia Eagles, will be the host stadium. It was also announced that Wells Fargo Center, located right across the street, will host the SmackDown and Raw after Mania shows and that the Pennsylvania Convention Center will be home to several fan events, likely including WrestleMania Axxess.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20220727005368\/en\/Philadelphia-to-Host-WrestleMania%C2%AE-40\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The press release from Business Wire reads as follows:<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, PHL Sports, and WWE<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0(NYSE: WWE) are proud to announce that Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will host WWE\u2019s pop-culture extravaganza,\u00a0<i>WrestleMania 40,\u00a0<\/i>on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7, 2024.<\/p>\n<p><i>WrestleMania<\/i>\u00a0is more than a two-day event; it\u2019s a week-long celebration. In addition to\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i>, other events will include\u00a0<i>Friday Night SmackDown<\/i><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, the 2024\u00a0<i>WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony<\/i><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><i>\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0<i>Monday Night Raw<\/i><sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0at Wells Fargo Center as well as other fan events at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. In addition, WWE will also host multiple community outreach events, including hospital visits and Be a STAR<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0bullying prevention rallies, designed to give back to the local region.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past decade,\u00a0<i>WrestleMania<\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i>has generated more than $1.25 billion in cumulative economic impact for the cities that have hosted the event.
