WWE Velocity<\/em> <\/strong>aired for the first time on TNN 20 years ago today (May 25). WWE Velocity<\/em> was a second show for the SmackDown<\/em><\/strong> brand and aired from the iconic big fist set. The landscape of the WWE has changed a lot since then. Velocity was a new enhancement talent show similar to Sunday Night Heat.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

    The best reflection of WWE’s change over the past two decades came in the match it chose to headline its brand new show. The Velocity<\/em> main event was a WWE Women\u2019s Championship Bra & Panties match between Trish Stratus<\/strong> and Stacy Keibler<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Keibler was, at the time, Vince McMahon\u2019s<\/strong> personal assistant. The match was supposed to present the opportunity for Keibler to get an easy win for the championship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Stratus, however, managed to strip Keibler first to retain her Women\u2019s Championship in 01:54.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
