Daniel Garcia<\/strong> defeated Bandido<\/strong> in the main event of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s Delivering The Goods<\/em><\/strong> event on Sunday night to win the PWG World Championship. The win by Garcia ends Bandido’s 864-day reign as champion, the longest in the title’s history.<\/p>\n

Garcia earned the opportunity when he won the PWG Battle of Los Angeles<\/em><\/strong> tournament<\/a> in January. In the first BOLA since 2019, the Jericho Appreciation Society<\/strong> member defeated Kevin Blackwood<\/strong>, Alex Shelley<\/strong>, and Black Taurus<\/strong> to earn himself a spot in the finals against “Speedball” Mike Bailey<\/strong>. It was then that Garcia won the tournament, joining the likes of Bandido<\/strong>, Adam Cole<\/strong>, Ricochet<\/strong>, and Kenny Omega<\/strong> as BOLA winners.<\/p>\n

After the victory, Garcia wasted no time in naming his next challenger. He’d lay down the challenge to DDT Pro ace Konosuke Takeshita<\/strong> afterward, making the match for the next PWG event. Takeshita would accept the challenge and made it clear he would be the next champion.<\/p>\n
