Across those two days, there were three brand new champions crowned, as well as a couple of new challengers approaching the new champions. Here\u2019s the rundown on the movement of the three newly crowned champions.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>New Champions at NOAH Ryogoku Sumo Hall Events<\/strong><\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We do love a PK <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oQtDU3aT4i\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pic.twitter.com\/oQtDU3aT4i<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Chris Ridgeway \u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30ea\u30c3\u30b8\u30a6\u30a7\u30a4 (@chrisridgeway__) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/chrisridgeway__\/status\/1520406718710448129?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">April 30, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Chris Ridgeway and Yoshinari Ogawa Become GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On day one at the all-junior Ryogoku Sumo Hall event, the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship changed hands. The <strong>STINGER<\/strong> team of <strong>Yoshinari Ogawa<\/strong> and <strong>Chris Ridgeway<\/strong> defeated <strong>YO-HEY<\/strong> and <strong>Atsushi Kotoge<\/strong> to claim the belts. This is Ridgeway\u2019s first-ever championship in NOAH, while this is the 8th run with the belts for Ogawa. This puts Ogawa with the second most reigns as GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion behind Atsushi Kotoge at 9 reigns. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">They didn\u2019t have any immediate challengers, but on day two, Ogawa made the appeal for <strong>Texano Jr<\/strong> and <strong>Super Crazy<\/strong> to be the first challengers. Their mouthpiece, <strong>NOSAWA Rongai<\/strong>, said they were willing to challenge wherever and whenever. This means that STINGER, once again, controls all the Pro Wrestling NOAH junior gold. As of now, there has been no title match set for HAYATA. However, that can change over this next tour. Someone could pin or make their challenge to him. Simply put, there needed to be a new champion. On day two, at Ryogoku Sumo Hall,<strong> Go Shiozaki<\/strong> defeated <strong>Kaito Kiyomiya<\/strong> to win the vacant crown. This means that Shiozaki has broken the record for most GHC Heavyweight Championship wins at 5, concluding his road back to the title.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">He didn\u2019t have too much time to celebrate, as <strong>New Japan Pro-Wrestling\u2019s Satoshi Kojima<\/strong> made his challenge. Kojima is only lacking the GHC Heavyweight Championship to become the fourth man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight, Triple Crown, and GHC Heavyweight Championship.
