It is unclear how long A-Kid will appear on both brands.

Frazer, on the other hand, confirmed on Twitter that he is full-time in the U.S. following his debut vignette on NXT 2.0. It is no surprise that the fast-paced and high-flying Frazer was wanted by WWE stateside. Frazer and A-Kid were two of the most exciting performers on the brand with their matches regularly getting people talking and drawing attention to NXT UK. Their departures also add to the issue of credible competition for the NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov. Frazer’s last match in NXT UK was a match of the year contender against Dragunov.

Dragunov has already defeated Frazer, A-Kid, Rampage Brown, and Jordan Devlin. He seems on a collision course to face Devlin again but – presuming he is victorious – it leaves no serious contenders for the top prize in NXT UK.

New Stars Needed in NXT UK

NXT UK needs to build up a new main event star to fill the void left by Frazer’s departure. Teoman is one talent that could be on course for a major push. He has spent most of his first year with the brand building momentum and establishing his faction Die Familie. But he seems more focused on an ongoing feud with Gallus than championship gold.

The major independent name NXT UK should go for is former PROGRESS Champion Cara Noir. Noir’s unique black swan gimmick is backed up by incredible in-ring work. He has already had great matches with Dragunov in PROGRESS and now could be the time for NXT UK to bring him in.

<iframe loading="lazy" title="The Last Dance: Ilja Dragunov vs Cara Noir at Progress Wrestling's 10th Anniversary Show.
