Last week, Roderick Strong<\/strong> laid down a challenge for a shot at NXT UK Champion Ilja Dragunov<\/strong>. Dragunov will certainly agree to a Roderick Strong NXT UK title shot, the match most likely happening during WrestleMania<\/em><\/strong> week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong issued the challenge after his match against Wolfgang<\/strong> as part of a special appearance on NXT UK. Strong’s appearances will add some extra eyes during the few weeks building to the WrestleMania<\/a> Week<\/em> edition of NXT UK on March 31. If last year’s NXT UK Prelude is anything to go by, this edition of NXT UK<\/em><\/strong> should be well stacked and the highlight of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roderick Strong NXT UK Title Match – A Deep Dive<\/strong><\/h2>\n

An Uneven Talent Exchange\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Strong’s trip to the UK marks a positive change in the talent exchange between NXT\/NXT 2.0<\/em><\/strong> and NXT UK<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kassius Ohno<\/strong> had a brief stint in NXT UK<\/a> and Alexander Wolf<\/strong> also joined the brand. However, Strong is the first established star to make a special trip from the U.S. brand especially to enhance NXT UK<\/em>. On the other hand, countless NXT UK<\/em> stars have either made appearances on the U.S. brand or moved over full-time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A-Kid is currently competing on NXT 2.0<\/em><\/a> in what could signal a full-time move to the U.S. Ilja Dragunov, Jordan Devlin<\/strong>, Tyler Bate<\/strong>, and Trent Seven<\/strong> have all made appearances on the U.S. brand.<\/span><\/p>\n

WALTER (GUNTHER)<\/strong>, Pete Dunne<\/strong>, Kay Lee Ray<\/strong>, Toni Storm<\/strong>, Rhea Ripley<\/strong>, James Drake<\/strong>, Zack Gibson<\/strong>, Ridge Holland<\/strong>, Marcel Barthel<\/strong>, and Fabian Aichner<\/strong> all started in NXT UK<\/em> before moving to the States. Hopefully Strong’s appearance in the UK will spark more stars coming across to NXT UK<\/em> for marquee matches.<\/span><\/p>\n
