It&#8217;s an event that happens usually in March. For the last few years, it&#8217;s had multiple events. This year is no exception, as it will feature two events: March 13 in Yokohama and 21 in Fukuoka. Let&#8217;s get into some of the title matches that have been announced so far for <em>Great Voyage 2022<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Great Voyage 2022 Title Matches<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><b>GHC Tag Team Championship Tournament<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The first three matches are part of the upcoming tournament to crown brand new GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. <strong>Naomichi Marufuji<\/strong> and <strong>Keiji Mutoh<\/strong> were the previous champions. Due to an injury sustained by <strong>Mutoh<\/strong>, the champions would have to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2022\/02\/08\/ghc-heavyweight-tag-team-championship-vacated\/\" target=\"_self\">vacate the titles<\/a>. Thus, a tournament was created to crown brand new champions. In the first match, we have <strong>Naomichi Marufuji <\/strong>and <strong>Masaaki Mochizuki<\/strong> vs. <strong>Kaito Kiyomiya <\/strong>and <strong>Daiki Inaba<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the other match, <strong>Kenoh<\/strong> and <strong>Masakatsu Funaki<\/strong> battle <strong>Takashi Sugiura<\/strong> and the recently returning <strong>Hideki Suzuki<\/strong>. For those unfamiliar, Suzuki was recently part of <em><strong>NXT<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0under the ring name <strong>Hachiman<\/strong>. The winning teams of these two matches will face each other in the main event to crown the 58th GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Eita has been part of NOAH as a freelancer for a little bit, a byproduct of the partnership that NOAH has with <strong>Dragon Gate<\/strong>. In his NOAH career so far, he has held the GHC Junior Tag Team Championship. This match also showcases the major story for the juniors on this tour.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Harada vs. Eita has the potential to be a fantastic match for the event. This match could be a way to showcase how weak <strong>Los Perros del Mal de Jap\u00f3n<\/strong> is or potentially how strong they are as a faction.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship Match<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As we mentioned earlier, these event&#8217;s junior scenes will be focused entirely on the <\/span>Los Perros del Mal de Jap\u00f3n vs. <b>NOAH&#8217;s Main Unit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> narrative. This story started with <strong>YO-HEY<\/strong> getting kicked out of Los Perros del Mal de Jap\u00f3n to join NOAH&#8217;s Main Unit. After Kotoge and YO-HEY captured the GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, they were challenged by <strong>NOSAWA Rongai<\/strong> and <strong>Kotaro Suzuki<\/strong>.\u00a0 Suzuki and Rongai are a new variation of the Los Perros team. Recently, Fujita caused a gigantic upset, defeating <strong>Katsuhiko Nakajima<\/strong> to capture the GHC Heavyweight Championship. After the match, Tanaka would come out to challenge Fujita for the championship, as both have unfinished business. Fujita and Tanaka faced off in the final event of NOAH&#8217;s 2021, with the match ending via a 30-minute time limit draw. With multiple of these title matches starting, NOAH&#8217;s extremely stacked in March.
