On this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite<\/strong><\/em>, a Face of the Revolution qualifying match was scheduled, pitting Isiah Kassidy<\/strong> against a mystery opponent. The winner of this match would go on to AEW Revolution<\/em><\/strong> to take part in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Speculation began as to who would take on Kassidy and All Elite Wrestling<\/strong> remained tight-lipped regarding the unknown opponent. However, near the end of the first hour, the mystery was revealed, as Keith Lee<\/strong> made his AEW Dynamite<\/em> debut, not only challenging Kassidy but winning the match. Thus, “The Limitless One” will advance to Revolution<\/em> to take part in the aforementioned ladder match.<\/p>\n

What to Know Regarding New “Limitless” Star<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Keith Lee is making his AEW debut following an extended stint in WWE<\/strong>. He signed with the company in early 2018, reporting to the Performance Center before making his NXT<\/em> <\/strong>debut later that August. “The Limitless One” became one of the most popular stars on the black-and-gold brand, not only winning the NXT North American and NXT titles but being the first man to hold both titles at the same time<\/a>. In August 2020, Lee made his main roster debut on Monday Night Raw<\/em><\/strong>. His success on the main roster was less consistent due to such factors as creative inconsistencies and Lee’s COVID-19 diagnosis that resulted in a five-month absence. This past November, Lee was released from WWE along with several other talent.<\/p>\n

Lee’s professional wrestling career expands a number of other promotions, too. From Ring of Honor<\/strong> to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla<\/strong> to various other organizations, he was able to craft a reputation that helped him achieve greater heights. Furthermore, he’s held heavyweight and world title gold in PWG, VIP Wrestling<\/strong>, and elsewhere. Given Lee’s success across different organizations, one would be wise to assume that AEW gold will be within his sights as well. Later in the evening, AEW President and CEO Tony Khan<\/strong> took to Twitter, announcing that Lee was “All Elite” – an official member of the AEW roster.<\/p>\n
