AC Mack<\/strong> is the brand new IWTV Independent Wrestling World Champion after defeating Alex Shelley<\/strong> in the headlining contest of Friday\u2019s massive IWTV super show, Southeast First<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AC Mack Captures IWTV World Title<\/b><\/h2>\n

Mack is considered amongst many to be one of the best independent wrestlers in the south<\/a>. Ever since losing his ACTION Wrestling<\/strong> title early in 2021, Mack has been racking up wins across the southeast in multiple different promotions which all led up to him winning the prestigious Scenic City Invitational<\/em><\/strong> tournament this past August. This tournament is usually a gateway to even bigger things within the world of professional wrestling, and that turned out to be just the case for “The Loudmouth.”<\/span><\/p>\n

As 2021 came to a close, Mack continued to question IWTV officials as to why he wasn\u2019t getting a shot at the belt. A good story played out here, with Mack continuing to rack up wins while being ignored by the powers that be, leading to an uprising in fan support from not only the loyal fans of southeastern wrestling but promotions and wrestlers alike.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Southeast First<\/em> was the perfect event to crown AC Mack with the title \u2014 and that exact thing happened. A display of the best wrestling in this region was all headlined by the glorious victory that “The Gatekeeper of the South” snatched from the jaws of defeat.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is Mack\u2019s first tenure with the belt, ending the 106-day reign of Alex Shelley. During that time period, Shelley had two title defenses (John Wayne Murdoch<\/strong>, Ruby Soho<\/strong>). During his victory speech, Mack vowed to only defend his newly won title in his region but if they forced him to make a defense \u201cup north\u201d, he would ask to be flown out \u2014 via Delta Airlines of course.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mack is not only the first openly gay man to hold the IWTV title, but the first openly gay man to hold a world championship, period.<\/span><\/p>\n
