{"id":108464,"date":"2022-01-17T12:00:09","date_gmt":"2022-01-17T17:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/?p=108464"},"modified":"2022-01-17T09:47:11","modified_gmt":"2022-01-17T14:47:11","slug":"joshi-matches-december-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2022\/01\/17\/joshi-matches-december-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Top 5 Joshi Matches of The Month (December 2021)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Joshi wrestling scene (Japanese Women\u2019s Wrestling) is a deep scene full of insanely talented performers and every month there are dozens of fantastic matches from promotions from\u00a0<strong>Stardom\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0<strong>PURE-J\u00a0<\/strong>and everywhere in between.\u00a0 In this article, we aim to give readers a list of recommended Joshi matches that took place in the last month, there will be some honorable mentions and then a top 5 featuring our absolute favorites!\u00a0 This edition focuses on December 2021<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-6\">\n<div id=\"avantis-player\"><strong>Important Note:\u00a0<\/strong>Due to some matches not airing as of the time of writing some presumably great Joshi matches can\u2019t be ranked.\u00a0 Also due to the recent\u00a0<strong>PPV Model\u00a0<\/strong>adopted by a number of promotions we are unable to see every event.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Recommended Joshi Matches December 2021<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Honorable Mentions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Akane Fujita vs Rina Yamashita<\/li>\n<li>Mayu Iwatani, Hazuki &amp; Koguma vs Maika, Himeka &amp; Natsupoi<\/li>\n<li>Arisa Nakajima vs Ryo Mizunami<\/li>\n<li>Leon vs Miyuki Takase<\/li>\n<li>Miyu Yamashita vs Yuki Arai<\/li>\n<li>ASUKA, Kaori Yoneyama &amp; Ayame Sasamura vs Hanako Nakamori, Arisa Nakajima &amp; Hiroyo Matsumoto<\/li>\n<li>Utami Hayashishita &amp; Tam Nakano vs Syuri &amp; Saya Kamitani<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>5. Hanako Nakamori, Saki Akai &amp; Tsukasa Fujimoto vs Yoshiko, Itsuki Aoki &amp; Rina Yamashita<\/h3>\n<p>SEAdLINNNG six-woman tags just hit on a different level.\u00a0 Everyone here was extra motivated to show off as this was Yoshiko&#8217;s first match in nine months. Like a lot of these SEAdLINNNG undercard matches this was high paced and full of really great exchanges between the competitors.\u00a0 This one just edged out another SEAd trios match for a spot in the top 5 but both would have deserved a spot.<\/p>\n<h3>4. Maria, Takumi Iroha &amp; Rin Kadokura vs Maika, Himeka &amp; Natsupoi<\/h3>\n<p>Marvelous came to play at Osaka Edion Arena when they took on the Artist of Stardom Champions MaiHimePoi.\u00a0 This keeps with our current running theme of high octane, well wrestled trios matches. The difference in this one was the standout exchanges between Iroha\/Himeka, Maria\/Himeka, and just about everyone with Natsupoi.\u00a0 The DDM trio were on top form but Takumi Iroha was also at her absolute best opposite them and was backed up by a game Maria and Kadokura, the former of whom had an excellent closing stretch with Himeka that had us believing team Marvelous would get the win and the belts.<\/p>\n<p>Link to watch: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stardom-world.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stardom World\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>3. Tam Nakano vs Saya Kamitani<\/h3>\n<p><a id=\"VH-CepjoSZdh9c-flCYbow\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gettyimages.ie\/detail\/1361973049\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><script>window.gie=window.gie||function(c){(gie.q=gie.q||[]).push(c)};gie(function(){gie.widgets.load({id:'VH-CepjoSZdh9c-flCYbow',sig:'RJpigUOw0h7f-apnKQzgG1DZ5TyV4tnLIuZM3huTWog=',w:'594px',h:'396px',items:'1361973049',caption: true ,tld:'ie',is360: false })});<\/script><script src='\/\/embed-cdn.gettyimages.com\/widgets.js' charset='utf-8' async><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Nakano and Kamitani absolutely knocked it out of the park for Kamitani&#8217;s crowning win.\u00a0 Nakano eased off and allowed Stardom&#8217;s &#8220;golden phoenix&#8221; to showcase her full array of offense, much to the delight of the crowd.\u00a0 Kamitani&#8217;s schoolboy powerbomb has to be seen to be believed and almost earned this match top spot alone but ultimately these two combatants will have to settle for a well-earned third-place finish.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Utami Hayashishita vs Syuri<\/h3>\n<h3><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-107011\" src=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2021\/12\/Utami-Hayashishita-vs-Syuri.jpg\" alt=\"Stardom Dream Queendom - Utami Hayashishita vs Syuri\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2021\/12\/Utami-Hayashishita-vs-Syuri.jpg 600w, https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2021\/12\/Utami-Hayashishita-vs-Syuri-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/h3>\n<p>After months of build-up the 5STAR Grand Prix winner, Syuri battled Utami Hayashishita for the world title.\u00a0 After their 5.5 star match earlier in the year expectations were high for this clash and it mostly lived up to expectations.\u00a0 While understandably not on the level of their first encounter this was 35 minutes of great pro wrestling.\u00a0 Syuri took some hellacious bumps throughout as Hayashishita was willing to do damage on the outside and as we got closer to the finish the lengths they were willing to go to for the win increased.<\/p>\n<h3>1.
