But before those departures, we would have a World Junior Heavyweight Championship match between Izanagi and Super Crazy.

Super Crazy made his AJPW return earlier this year during the Real World Tag League. He teamed with Tajiri in a failed effort in their block of action, but Super Crazy ended up with a title shot against Izanagi, which would lead to the final title match of the year for All Japan on AJP Prime Night.

Izanagi was to be making his first title defense since winning the World Junior Heavyweight Championship from SUGI at Champions Night 2. What many assumed would be an easy title defense for the new champion was thwarted as Super Crazy would defeat Izanagi to become the new World Junior Heavyweight Champion via a roll-up. Who it will be against is another question entirely, as 2021 has legitimately been a busy year for this championship – with six new champions. It could be against Izanagi, it could be against his partner Tajiri. The only thing that is certain is that All Japan’s junior division has become Super Crazy.

Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
