The St. Louis area was one of the most important territories for the <strong>National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)<\/strong> during their heyday from the 1940s to the 1980s (under <strong>Sam Muchnik<\/strong>) and the area continues to be a strong region for indie wrestling with the likes of <strong>St. Louis Anarchy, Dynamo Pro,<\/strong> and <strong>Glory Pro Wrestling.<\/strong> This past Friday&#8217;s event featured several stars from the area in matches for the tapings, including former IWTV Independent Wrestling Champion <strong>WARHORSE<\/strong>. Here&#8217;s a look at who was used (note: while the article does contain spoilers of the names utilized by AEW, we will refrain posting from match results).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Heidi Howitzer vs. Riho<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Heidi Howitzer<\/strong> has been making a name for herself the past few years, but the past year she&#8217;s exploded since joining the <strong>Warriors of the Wasteland<\/strong>, ROH star <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/02\/25\/indie-watch-max-the-impaler\/\" target=\"_self\"><strong>Max The Impaler<\/strong> <\/a>and <strong>Leon Ravage<\/strong>. Howitzer made her AEW debut on Friday night in a singles match against former AEW Women&#8217;s Champion <strong>Riho<\/strong>. From 2016 to 2018, he was the tag team partner with\u00a0<strong>ACH<\/strong> in\u00a0<strong>Different Strokes\u00a0<\/strong>(and then\u00a0<strong>Team Acadamia<\/strong>). She actually debuted for AEW earlier this week on\u00a0<em>AEW Dark: Elevation <\/em>in a loss to\u00a0<strong>Riho<\/strong>, but she returned again on Friday to face\u00a0<strong>Nyla Rose<\/strong>. WARHORSE has a huge cult following on the U.S. indie scene, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/06\/16\/codyfearswarhorse-fans-unite-to-get-warhorse-vs-cody-rhodes\/\" target=\"_self\">the groundswell of support<\/a> lead to him <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/07\/24\/fear-no-more-cody-to-face-warhorse-next-week-on-aew-dynamite\/\" target=\"_self\">challenging\u00a0<\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/prowrestling\/2020\/07\/24\/fear-no-more-cody-to-face-warhorse-next-week-on-aew-dynamite\/\" target=\"_self\">Cody Rhodes<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for the TNT Championship back in 2020.
