CDK, also known as Masahiro Takanashi and Chris Brookes, had a successful outing the last time they competed in Ichigaya Chocolate Square. On ChocoPro #164 earlier this month, they bested the team of Tokiko Kirihara and Chon Shiryu. This isn’t to say they’re heading into ChocoPro #169 with all the momentum on their side, though. At a recent DDT Pro-Wrestling event, they fell to the team of MJ Paul and Daisuke Sasaki. Despite this, they will enter this upcoming show with the intention to win, even if it’s against tricky, skilled opponents such as Honda and Suzuki.

Honda will enter ChocoPro #169 with a recent loss to his name. Alongside Kirihara, on ChocoPro #169, “The Honey Hunter” fell to the Asia Dream Tag Team Champions, Best Bros. With that said, this is a rare blemish on the seemingly spotless record that Honda has built up within the walls of Ichigaya. On this show, he teams with a new partner in Shin Suzuki. This Pro Wrestling HEAT-UP star made his ChocoPro debut on Episode #165, where he teamed up with Chie Koishikawa in a losing effort to, ironically enough, Best Bros. Nonetheless, Suzuki had a solid showing, showing his technical knowhow against 2 titleholders. Can Suzuki make his upcoming ChocoPro appearance a win?

Halloween Battle Royal

ChocoPro #169 will be main evented by, appropriately enough, a Halloween Battle Royal. As mentioned earlier, the specific participants have yet to be announced; by the time the show airs on the official Gatoh Move YouTube channel, this news will be confirmed. Regardless, there are a few things to know about this particular match type. First, all of the competitors will be dressed in Halloween costumes. Last year’s examples include Mei Suruga as Snow White, Lulu Pencil as a robot, and Yuna Mizumori as Harley Quinn. Second, wrestlers can eliminate each other by way of pinfall and submission. Considering Ichigaya Chocolate Square’s lack of a traditional ring, over-the-top-rope rules needn’t apply; instead, they can also occur by throwing an opponent out of one of the Ichigaya’s windows.

ChocoPro’s Halloween Battle Royal is a match type where fun and chaos are the collective name of the game. There is nothing truly at stake here. However, last year’s match was won by Suruga, who overcame 5 other competitors to emerge victorious. “Mei-chan” may be looking to successfully defend her spot from last year, especially given that, alongside Baliyan Akki, she successfully defended the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship against Egg Tarts on yesterday’s episode. Regardless, this will be a contest to keep an eye on.

ChocoPro #169 will air on October 31 at 10:00 AM JST (October 30 at 9:00 PM EST).

It will air live on the Gatoh Move YouTube channel for free before being available for on-demand viewing afterward.
