The G1 Climax got off to a hot start on the first two days of block action<\/a>.\u00a0 While the A Block has suffered due to Tetsuya Naito’s injury<\/a> the B Block is still primed and ready to deliver.\u00a0 The G1 Climax 31 Day 4 card is set to feature a clash between\u00a0EVIL\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Kazuchika Okada<\/strong>, and\u00a0Hiroshi Tanahashi\u00a0<\/strong>taking on\u00a0Hirooki Goto<\/strong>.\u00a0 Let’s preview the card!<\/p>\n

G1 Climax 31 Day 4 Lineup<\/h2>\n

Hiroshi Tanahashi (0) vs Hirooki Goto (0)<\/h3>\n

Both Tanahashi and Goto lost their opening bouts of this G1 Climax tournament and will need to turn things around here.\u00a0 Tanahashi has a 10-2 record in singles action against Goto so he goes in as the favorite in this one.<\/p>\n

Tama Tonga (0) vs Chase Owens (0)<\/h3>\n

Tonga and Owens also got off to losing starts of the tournament.\u00a0 This collision of Bullet Club members will see at least one competitor move off the 0 point mark, multiple time tag champion Tonga likely takes the win.<\/p>\n

YOSHI-HASHI (0) vs Jeff Cobb (2)<\/h3>\n

In a first-time ever matchup Jeff Cobb looks to continue his hot start to the tournament against NEVER Six-Man co-champ YOSHI-HASHI.\u00a0 You can never count out HASHI who always fights with everything he’s got but Cobb seems too strong to beat right now.<\/p>\n

SANADA (2) vs Taichi (2)<\/h3>\n

Taichi has yet to defeat SANADA in a singles match, although they have only had two, and generally gets one up on SANADA in tag action.\u00a0 We’d expect that to continue here to send SANADA up to 4 points.<\/p>\n

Kazuchika Okada (2) vs EVIL (2)<\/h3>\n

If there is one feud that has almost defined the pandemic era for NJPW it is Okada vs EVIL.\u00a0 EVIL’s heel turn was solidified in last years New Japan Cup final where he beat Okada<\/a> through a number of nefarious means.\u00a0 With the recent formation of the House Of Torture this seems like another opportunity for EVIL to cheat his way to victory over the top star of NJPW<\/p>\n
