The show in question is already quite stacked, featuring Adam Cole making his in-ring debut against Frankie Kazarian, Bryan Danielson addressing current AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, and more. Harrison’s appearance will undoubtedly be a major attraction for those that follow MMA and professional wrestling alike. Her specific role on this show remains to be seen.

However, based on Amanda Nunes‘s appearance on Dynamite this past June, where she appeared alongside Jorge Masvidal and the controversial Dan Lambert, one would expect Kayla Harrison to get involved with the latter. This is especially possible considering that Nunes and Harrison seem to be on a collision course of their own. Harrison expanded on this further during her recent interview with MMA Junkie. “She is currently the greatest of all time,” said Harrison of Nunes. “The biggest compliment I could give to Amanda is I hope to fight her one day. She started training in judo at six years old, as her mother was not only proficient in the art but was a black belt. This provided Harrison with the foundation she needed to pursue combat sports in her later years. She participated in the World Judo Championships, winning the gold in 2010. She would also earn gold in the Pan American Judo Championships, specifically in 2011 and 2016. This doesn’t even include the various silver and bronze accolades she earned throughout her career.

Starting in 2019, Harrison competed in the Professional Fighters League, which is where most fans today know her from. Her first fight was scheduled against Svetlana Khautova, who was later replaced by Larissa Pacheco. Harrison would defeat Pacheco by decision. From there, she competed in multiple fights for the PFL, ultimately winning the 2019 Women’s Lightweight Championship. As of this writing, Harrison is still active in the PFL, competing in its 2021 season.

Stay tuned to the Last Word on Pro Wrestling for more on this and other stories from around the world of wrestling, as they develop.
