WWE SmackDown Results Today (6/20/25):

  • LA Knight kicks off WWE SmackDown to talk to the WWE Universe. Knight immediately got to business, asking to fight Seth Rollins tonight. Instead, LA Knight got Paul Heyman, warning him that he should get out of dodge before anything bad happens. Surely enough, Knight did not listen to the Wiseman’s words, prompting Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker to run down to the ring and try to teach Knight a few lessons. Breakker and Reed would beat down Knight. Fortunately, Knight got the upper hand, swinging a chair around that sent the wolves packing.
  • Alexa Bliss comes out first as she faces off against Asuka in a semifinal matchup to advance to the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament. On a number of times, Bliss had Asuka. Unfortunately, the “Goddess” would second guess herself, leading to Asuka picking up the win after a Bliss error with the Empress Impact running hip attack.
  • Kit Wilson is in the ring to battle Aleister Black. Before the match could get underway, R-Truth would attack Wilson, locking him in an STF and asking for John Cena to come out, a man he’ll face in the main event.
  • Cody Rhodes talks to the WWE Universe in Grand Rapids about his WWE King of the Ring semifinals matchup. Jey Uso would join him, and the two semifinalists wished each other luck. Zayn would join them, telling them that he was out to become one of them —a world champion.
  • Randy Orton comes out while the three are in the ring, ready for his battle against Zayn in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament. Orton was extremely lethal in this matchup, thwarting every Sami Zayn attempt at offense. Zayn looked to bounce back. Unfortunately, an error on his part cost him the match, getting by an RKO out of nowhere, allowing Orton to get the pin and advance to the finals.
  • Nia Jax airs out her grievances against WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. It didn’t take long for Stratton to interrupt her. Jax wants a shot at the title, and Stratton is more than willing to give it to her, setting up a title match between the two next week.
  • Chelsea Green takes on Charlotte Flair one-on-one. Flair submitted Chelsea Green with the Figure-8 Leg-Lock after an intense brawl. Piper Niven and Alba Fyre would immediately hit the ring, assaulting Flair. Alexa Bliss would hit the ring, saving Flair from any more injury. Unfortunately, Flair would refuse this help, walking away from Bliss.
  • Solo Sikoa spoke with Jacob Fatu, convincing him to return to the fold. However, Fatu made it explicitly clear that everything has changed since he became United States Champion. If that’s the problem, then Fatu is willing to give Solo a shot at the championship. Solo Sikoa would try to blindside Fatu, almost hitting him with a Samoan Spike, leading to a brawl. JC Mateo would hit the ring, and he and Sikoa would put the beating on Jacob Fatu. Jimmy Uso would come for the save, getting overwhelmed fast. Fatu would recover and exact his revenge on Mateo and Sikoa, standing tall over the playing field and acknowledging Jimmy’s efforts.
  • The match between LA Knight and Bronson Reed was set up due to the events that opened the show. From the start, it was never going to be fair for LA Knight, with Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman patrolling the outside. Shockingly, Knight would get the upper hand, being on the verge of winning this match as he put down Reed. But of course, Breakker would not let that happen, delivering a sickening Spear to Knight, as well as humongous Tsunami from Reed, leading to the disqualification but a statement the “Megastar” won’t soon forget.
  • In the main event, Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena faced off against R-Truth. From the start of the match, it was obvious that Ron Killings was driving the car and not Truth, taking it to the champion early. After the initial influx of offense, Cena proved to everyone why he’s the “never seen 17,” taking control of the match. Truth would recuperate, leading Cena to walk away with the championship, essentially calling it quits before hitting Truth with the belt for the disqualification. CM Punk would hit the ring to meet Cena in the ring, trading shots with the “GOAT.” Cena would low-blow Punk and crack him with the title belt. Cena was not done; he took out a table, threatening to put Punk through it. With a belt shot, Cena would put the exclamation point on this night, delivering the Attitude Adjustment. After that, John Cena proceeded to cut his own “Pipe Bomb.” We cannot do it justice, so please watch it for yourself, but Cena went out and made a statement and built the most momentum heading into Night of Champions to end the night.
