Trey Miguel was on commentary for the match. Following King’s victory, Tom Hannifan asked Miguel and the viewers at home if they would like to know the next entrant in Ultimate X. A video package aired showing Jack Evans, announcing his participation in the match.

Evans worked with IMPACT Wrestling in 2004 when it was known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He was a member of Team Canada for the 2004 American and World X-Cup Tournaments. He and Teddy Hart were later replaced for the World Tournament by Bobby Roode and Eric Young. Evans returned to IMPACT in 2011 as part of a working agreement between IMPACT and AAA.

Evans was signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019 alongside Angélico. The team was known as The Hybrid2 (TH2). The duo competed in the AEW tag team division and later became part of the Hardy Family Office (HFO). Evans’s contract with AEW expired at the end of April this year and it was not renewed. Evans will return to the IMPACT Zone with a chance to win one of the signature matches within IMPACT Wrestling.
