Preview: Gatoh Move – ChocoPro #219 (4/17/22)

ChocoPro 219

On the final episode of ChocoPro for this weekend, Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling has a one-match card that should prove to be anything but orthodox. The reigning Asia Dream Tag Team Champions will be in action, and though they’ve been successful at keeping the gold in their possession, they may not be fully prepared for what’s in store next. In fact, longtime viewers of the show may not know what to expect until said show finally airs on the official Gatoh Move YouTube channel. Without any further delay, let’s take a closer look at the action set for ChocoPro #219.

ChocoPro #219 Full Card

ChocoPro 219

ChocoPro #219, as mentioned earlier, features a one-match card. Thus, the match in question has been given not only a no time limit rule but it will be held under No Disqualification guidelines. In other words, no matter how chaotic matters become in Ichigaya Chocolate Square, there must be a winning team. Set for action are Calamari Drunken Kings, the team of Masahiro Takanashi and Chris Brookes, who will be defending the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship. Since winning the titles back on Episode #204 in February, CDK had little trouble keeping their hold on the gold. Also mentioned earlier, however, is the possibility that they may not what to expect in their latest defense.

CDK will be defending the gold against the unlikely duo of Sayaka Obihiro and Kappa Kozo. The latter duo is especially intriguing; what began as a heated feud seemed to blossom into an unlikely partnership, allowing the two veterans to work together. This partnership has benefited both parties as of late, too. Case and point, back on Day 2 of ChocoPro #200, they were successful against Black/White Comaneci. Though their previous tag team match ended in a no contest, Obihiro and Kozzo are determined to not only come away victorious but capture tag team gold in their process. Furthermore, on this episode, they won’t be alone.

ChocoPro #219 will see what’s been hyped as a UMA army invasion, as the challengers will be backed by such names as Miyako Haru. Furthermore, they are coming to Ichigaya with the sole purpose of invading ChocoPro. Given the slew of names associated with the latter promotion, who would have expected that it’d be CDK, particularly the antagonistic Brookes, that would be defending its honor? “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” is a phrase that fits perfectly here. For those that are unfamiliar with this invading group, this is all the more reason to tune in.

ChocoPro #219 will air on April 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM JST (April 16 at 9:00 EM EST).

It will air live on the Gatoh Move YouTube channel for free before being available for on-demand viewing afterward. To support the company, you can sign up for their Patreon, which features multiple tiers, or their own on-demand streaming service linked below.
