Why Miro Should Be the Competitor to Defeat Darby Allin for the TNT Championship

Miro AEW Returns

Darby Allin has been one of the most popular wrestlers AEW has on their roster. His dark and brooding nature, as well as his “never say die” underdog persona, has endeared him to fans. He has “superstar” written all over him, as the old adage goes. For the past number of weeks, Allin has put on a stellar performance match after match, week in and week out. However, every great run has to come to an end at some point. Every king must eventually get off his throne or be forcibly removed from it. Miro is “The Best Man” to do that.

This “Bulgarian Brute” has been on a tear as of late, victimizing and savagely dismantling anyone who dares stand in his path. Miro has put everyone with a championship title on notice. Specifically, he has his eyes firmly set on acquiring the TNT Championship. “The Best Man” should be the one to end Allin’s spectacular reign as AEW TNT Champion and here’s why.

Formidable Foe

In pure aesthetic alone, Miro is your quintessential monster. He’s big, strong, and unforgiving. Not to mention, he has all the tools to back it up. Giving Miro a run at the gold could open up a series of intriguing matches between the top up-and-coming babyfaces of All Elite Wrestling. Take Jungle Boy, for example; this young man is touted as the future of not only this company but the industry as a whole. Every hero needs a villain to vanquish. Miro is the perfect adversary for Jungle Boy.

Miro could go on an absolute tear until possibly All In, which Jungle Boy will have the biggest platform possible, not only to win his first championship in the company but take it from someone credible. You can put the likes of Hangman Page and Rey Fenix in the mix and you would get the same result. Of course, an eventual grudge rematch with Darby Allin is definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Miro is the unstoppable bad guy who every fan would love to see get his comeuppance. If he is granted an extended run with the title, his eventual conqueror will have a great jumping-off point for their time with the championship.

Legitimizing the Beast, Miro

It’s well-documented that Miro did not have the best time in the old promotion he was employed at. He was the star that had everything to make it big, but due to creative inconsistencies, he never got the chance to be the big star he was always meant to be. Anyone would be remiss to not mention that Miro’s start in AEW wasn’t necessarily him firing on all cylinders. It took a bit of time but when he got there eventually he was absolutely phenomenal in that position. Over the past number of weeks, Miro has looked like a nuclear bomb ready to explode. He even attacked his own partner, Kip Sabian, in this unstoppable fit of rage.

Since arriving at AEW, Miro has never looked better than right now. If the company is planning on strapping a rocket to his back, now is the time to do so. The events of last week could be a sign of things to come. Allin was injured by Scorpio Sky and “All Ego” Ethan Page. Miro explicitly stated that it doesn’t matter and won’t make a difference if Allin was healthy or not. One way or another Miro will come out victorious. As we peel back the curtain, both Sting and Darby Allin have been storyline injured. It would make sense for Miro to win next week’s TNT Championship match thus cementing his place as top dog in AEW.
