It’s once again time for MLW FUSION! This looks to be a can’t miss episode with Alicia Atout interviewing MLW National Openweight Champion Alex Hammerstone, the debut of Violence is Forever, and three more exciting matches! Let’s dive on in!
Calvin Tankman vs. Zenshi
Fresh off a dominant debut against Robert Martyr, Calvin Tankman looks to build off this performance and continue to establish himself as MLW’s future. In his way is ten-year veteran Zenshi, looking to steal Tankman’s impressive momentum for himself. Tankman has so much upside, and MLW has done an excellent job of building on his hype. Look for Tankman to walk away with another dominant performance.
Opera Cup Semifinal: Low Ki vs. Richard Holliday
This will not only mark the first semifinal match of the tournament, but it is also the first time Low Ki and Richard Holliday have made it this far. Both men came up short in last year’s opening round, but each man overcame a stiff test to make it one step closer to the finals. Holliday beat veteran TJP to earn his spot. At the same time, Low Ki had a slightly sweeter victory, avenging his loss in last year’s opening round against Davey Boy Smith Jr. I’m not confident enough to make a pick between these two, but they will definitely put on a show for the fans!
MLW World Tag Team Championship: The Von Erichs (Marshall and Ross Von Erich) (c) vs. CONTRA (Jacob Fatu and Simon Gotch)
MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu and CONTRA teammate Simon Gotch look to continue the group’s dominance over MLW. This will be done by taking on MLW World Tag Team Champions Ross and Marshall Von Erich for the belts. CONTRA has been vocal about its desire to control all of the gold in MLW. That being said, the Von Erichs are MLW’s longest-reigning MLW Tag Team Champions and they have that distinction for a reason. Regardless of who wins, this match will have the biggest impact on MLW’s future than any other on the card!
