Earlier today, the AEW Games YouTube channel held its “1.0 Special Event.” During this show, All Elite Wrestling representatives Kenny Omega, Aubrey Edwards, Dr. Britt Baker, and Cody Rhodes made several announcements regarding AEW video games and affiliated merchandise. The biggest news to come from this event were three upcoming video game projects. Spanning console and mobile platforms alike, these projects are uniquely different from one another.
The first project, unveiled by Omega, was the untitled AEW console game. It featured Omega and Chris Jericho wrestling one another, calling back to the first-ever Double or Nothing event in 2019. However, the game took a unique turn when current AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida stormed the ring. While the trailer for the upcoming AEW console game was short, it quickly established that any match could take place, intergender contests included. This game is set to release on current and next-gen consoles.
Edwards took to the stage to announce the second video game project entitled “AEW Elite General Manager.” This mobile game puts players in the booker’s seat. Players can sign AEW stars, build rosters, and create events. Players will also be able to manage various aspects of the company, including cash flow and locker room morale.
Baker was the next representative to take the stage. While she didn’t have a specific video game to announce, she unveiled the first AEW Games merch. Specifically, there will be t-shirts that can be purchased on ShopAEW.com. These feature the AEW Games logo, providing a simple, clean look.

Finally, Rhodes made his way to the stage to make the third, and final, gaming announcement. Enter “AEW Casino: Double or Nothing,” named after the aforementioned event. While no gameplay footage was shown, it looks to be a casino or gambling-style mobile game. This was the only title that was given a set time frame for release. “AEW Casino: Double or Nothing” will be available this winter.
Before the event concluded, Omega made one final announcement regarding the AEW console game. In addition to Yuke’s, known for their extensive work with the WWE video games throughout the years, AEW has partnered with Hideyuki Iwashita, also known as “Geta.” Iwashita served as the director for “WWF No Mercy,” which released on the Nintendo 64 in 2000, as well as the producer for titles in the “Def Jam Vendetta” series. “WWF No Mercy” is often considered one of the best wrestling games of all-time, if not the greatest in general, so “Geta’s” involvement in the upcoming AEW console game is nothing short of promising.
