Preview: Friday Night SmackDown (5/8/20)

Friday Night SmackDown

Just days out from Money In The Bank we have some of the final build for the big show as Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt will come face to face ahead of their Universal Championship match, Tamina teams with Lacey Evans to take on Sasha Banks and Bayley ahead of her title match this weekend.  And MITB competitors collide as Daniel Bryan meets King Corbin in tag team action on this edition of Friday Night Smackdown.

Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak & ??? vs King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro

With Sami Zayn presumably at home the Artist Collective have not forgotten their grudge with Bryan and Gulak, instead siding with King Corbin to beat down Bryan.  Bryan and Gulak will have a mystery partner, Shorty G maybe? to take on the three fearsome competitors ahead of Corbin and Bryan’s participation in the ladder match.

Tamina & Lacey Evans vs Bayley & Sasha Banks

Tamina is the number one contender for Bayley’s women’s championship, Banks and Bayley aren’t  too happy about this and time and again have tried to get in a cheap attack on the menacing veteran.  Their adversary Lacey Evans has been there to back up Tamina each time and now these two teams will meet as both Tamina and Bayley look to build some momentum ahead of their title match

Sonya Deville vs Mandy Rose

One of the longest built stories in the WWE, Sonya Deville lied to her best friend Rose and tried to interfere in her brewing romance with Otis.  Since being outed as a liar Deville has been taking the fight to Rose and now believes she has moved out of her former teammates’ shadow having been aligned with Rose since their main roster debut as part of Absolution.  Rose will be looking to get revenge following Deville’s actions and heinous attack last week on Friday Night SmackDown

Jeff Hardy Returns

WWE has been telling the story of Jeff Hardy’s redemption over the past few weeks.  Telling his story and reminding us of why he is one of the most popular babyface on the roster.  Hardy returns to action this week with a reinvigorated Sheamus looming in the background.

Braun Strowman & Bray Wyatt Come Face To Face

Friday Night SmackDown

These two will meet for one last time ahead of their title match at Money In The Bank.  Wyatt has been playing mind games with Strowman in recent weeks reminding the black sheep that he is the reason Strowman is where he is. He also wants revenge for Strowman leaving his flock all those years ago without a goodbye.  Wyatt so far is winning the mental game but the monster among men cannot be taken lightly and even if he loses the mindgames he can win a physical match with ease.

Not Announced But Expected

– Final build for both money in the bank matches

– final build for tag team championship match
