Been a busy 24 hours for Major League Wrestling (MLW), who released one of their top stars only to announce the signing of a new talent, as Teddy Hart was let go before announcing that ACH (formerly Jordan Myles in NXT) was returning to the company.

Early on Friday morning, MLW announced the release of former MLW World Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart. While MLW’s announcement was relegated to one short sentence, “Major League Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Teddy Hart,” it’s become the latest chapter in a controversial month for the Hart family member, who had appearances for Limitless Wrestling and Alpha-1 cancelled in the past few weeks. The controversy arose when Teddy’s name was brought up in the appearance of a Canadian woman, Samantha Fiddler, who went missing several years ago. While Hart has maintained his innocence in the entire situation, it seems that promotions are choosing to distance themselves from the oft-troubled star. As well as posting in his own defence, he recently discussed the alleged rumors in his new vlog series with girlfriend Maria Manic.

Hart’s release comes just 24 hours after MLW taped The Opera Cup tournament, a tourney that was co-created by Hart and utilized the trophy last held by his grandfather, Stu Hart, over 70 years ago. With the departure of Teddy Hart, it will be interesting to see what happens with his stable, the new Hart Foundation, and its members Brian Pillman Jr. and his cousin, Davey Boy Smith Jr.
MLW Signs ACH
Just hours after announcing the dismissal of Teddy Hart, MLW revealed they had signed ACH to return to the company. In a press release, MLW announced that “ACH will next compete at MLW’s return to Dallas at MLW: Zero Hour at the NYTEX Sports Centre in the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area on Saturday January 11. The event will be a MLW FUSION TV taping for beIN SPORTS.” ACH has just recently been given his release from NXT following tirades of racism in WWE (and the wrestling industry in general), following the release of a controversial NXT shirt. ACH has since returned to the indies, with his first appearance on November 22 and three returns all together, including former stomping ground AAW at last week’s AAW Unstoppable.
