Announced by advocate Paul Heyman earlier today, Brock Lesnar will officially be cashing in the Men’s Money in the Bank contract this Monday against the Universal Champion Seth Rollins. This would be historic in many ways as this would be the first time Brock Lesnar would compete on Monday Night Raw since July 2002 when he faced Tommy Dreamer in singles action.

Of course, there would always be a swerve here when it comes to Brock Lesnar. It is difficult for fans to get their hopes up as Lesnar has yet to compete on television since returning to wrestling back in 2012. This announcement by Heyman is on the heels of Stephanie McMahon making the announcement yesterday that she, the McMahon Family, and the Executive Team would take action against Lesnar this Monday on Raw. There are numerous options that could happen, more than likely halting Lesnar from cashing it in officially. The scenarios are endless, as they have shown in the past they’re not afraid to put the Money in the Bank briefcase high above the ring again despite someone winning the matchup. There really is no wrong answer here and only speculation until Monday comes and goes.

Remember, it was just last week that we were told Lesnar would make his decision, but he instead ignored the fact because Rollins walked out on him during his “Brock Party” and then was informed he had a year to cash-in. But if it does happy, history is certainly sure to be on our hands.
This will mark the 24th cash-in in the history of the WWE, being the fourth cash-in to allow the champion time to prepare. In those matches, the challenger is 1-2 so far. Rob Van Dam, the first to do it, won when he defeated John Cena back in 2006 for the WWE Championship. Cena failed to do so when his match was interrupted by Big Show, ending in a no contest. And most recently, Braun Strowman did so last year when he would announce his official cash-in match would be at the Hell in the Cell PPV, in which also ended in a no contest when Brock would rip the door off the hinges and leave both men laying. If Brock was to fail, that would be the third consecutive year that the Men’s Money in the Bank winner failed on their cash-in attempt.
While it is the WWE and anything can really happen, fans have to remember who we are dealing with here. Brock is the biggest question mark WWE has to this day, and we will just have to wait and see when it comes to him cashing in the contract. Paul Heyman let it be known to Seth Rollins that “Here Comes The Pain”, something that hasn’t been used when talking about Lesnar in a long time.
For now, Brock Lesnar will be in action on Raw in what should be assumed to be the main event of the evening. Can Seth Rollins be the Beast Slayer once again?
