Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and Joey Janela have really struck gold with their Joey Janela series, and the quirkiness of the matchups always leads to great fun, as the Spring Break series, in particular, have become must-see events over WrestleMania week. Orange Cassidy has long been a cult favorite on the indie circuit, starting with his run in CHIKARA and working alongside Chuck Taylor. But over the past few years, it seems like Orange Cassidy has gotten a little antsy and he’s starting to pull a few bigger moves out of the pockets his hands are normally in. Don’t let his lethargic demeanor fool you – he’s an athletic specimen waiting to be released. His opponent Taka Michinoku is best remembered by WWE fans as the former WWE Light Heavyweight Champion from the Attitude Era (and the man who tried to chop off Val Venis’ “pee pee”), but since he left the WWF back in the early 2000s, he’s still remained a huge star in Japan. He’s currently a part of Suzuki-gun in NJPW and still wrestles for multiple promotions.

The Orange Cassidy vs. Taka Michinoku match will take place on night one of Spring Break 3 on Friday, April 5, along with the previously announced Nick Gage vs. Shinjiro Otani, while night two has announced matches in LA Park vs. Masato Tanaka and The Rock N’ Roll Express vs. LAXas well as The Greatest Clusterf**k.
